2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
pours bright yellow with a minimal white head, retention and lacing. aroma of malts, bread, dust and grass. germanesque feeling. not watery - good malt structure. average carbonation, somewhat silky. hint of sweet malts. underrated.

1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle. Golden pour with a white bubly head. Aromas and taste of corn and some grass. A watery mouthfeel.
I drank it purely for the rating.

1.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
A pale yellow lager with a thin receding white head. Aroma of malty mineral water. In mouth, a dry dusty malt with bad adjunct notes, mineral water with dust, bad. Bottle from SAQ Complexe Desjardins, bought April 2011.

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
355 ml stubby purchased at the SAQ Centropolise (Laval, Quebec), on March 15, 2011. Straw colored, no head. Malty corn aroma, hints of light lemon. Almost no malt taste, lemon mineral notes, no aftertaste. The only beer from the only brewery in Haiti, it’s normal that they have no competition to do better, but this country is used to misery!

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
My first Haitian brew. Very light pour with a mild, fizzy head. The label is OK. A light bread and rice aroma with a bit of yeast. A fairly sweet and yeasty lager. The flavor is nothing great, but at least it is noticeable. There is a clear lack of interesting hops, or any hops really. Drinkable and not watery, but nothing special.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
bottle claiming 5.6%. pours a very pale straw under a very small white film head. large carbonation bubbles. nose is very sweet with corn syrup/flakes and honey. palate is light with a dry finish. flavor is not as sweet as the aroma suggests. the dryness helps the beer in my opinion.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Thanks to Lilihel’s mom who got this one from a co-worker. Came in a stubby brown bottle. Pours a light gold colour with a small cap and hardly any lacing. Carbonation is pretty light. Smells like a Euro lager (like Saaz hop). The mouthfeel is pretty dry. Mild taste of malt that is quite refreshing, but does not have much aftertaste. A pretty refreshing lager made for hot countries, just like Haiti. Not sure if this one will take a beating as it is made where the earthquake just happened.
