Bottle. About three months old. This pours a golden color with a thin white head and light lacing on the glass. Cereal, grass, and sweet grains in the aroma. The flavors consist of sweet malt, corn bread, straw, and a hoppy finish accompanied by a little lingering sticky sweetness. This is drinkable enough but not sure I’d think that if it were any stronger. Nothing special but a pretty solid brew.

Old bottle (2011). Wasn’t too sure what to expect, turned out better than I thought. Clear pale gold pour, thin fizzy white head. Aroma is grainy, some light hop notes, bread, a hint of something metallic, not that much oxidization. Taste is light and grainy, touch of hops, touch of alcohol in the finish. Must have been much much better fresh but this was still surprisingly drinkable.

22 oz bomber from Capones. Poured a good looking clear golden body with an average to larage sized bright white frothy head. Aroma is pretty bland, might be a good thing after tasting this one. Some notes of wet bread, pennies and veggies. Medium to fuller bodied with average carbonation and a harsh finish that isn’t simply bitter but a combo of dry bitterness along with a metallic flavor. Flavor of wet grains, cereal, corn husk, corn cob, rusty metal. Blah.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 bmerz (468) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - JUL 19, 2012
Bottle. Yellow beer. Greasy hop aroma. Fairly conventional lager but with slight more alcohol sweetness and viscosity. Sneaks up on you. But i don?t really like it. Would much rather drink a My Antonia. Pretty Things is awesome though.

22 oz bottle. Pours golden with fluffy off-white head. Nose is pilsen malt, mild grassy hops. Mild bitterness, light citrus. Conceals the ABV well. Decent lager, which is not my favorite style

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Lukaduke (1021) - Portland, Maine, USA - JUL 2, 2012
Pours a clear golden straw color with fluffy white head that rides along for the first few sips then laces out nicely. Aromas are subtle with traces of light malts, bready yeast and grassy hops. The palate follows the nose pretty nicely witha nice refreshing start... traces of honeyed malts, white bread, grassy hop bitterness and traces of alcohol on the finish. Nice lager with a pretty big abv for a lager. Great strong lager for sure.
