Bottle at my tasting. Yellow pour. Grainy and malty aroma with some caramel malt. Flavor is relatively ok, sweet and malty. Not my style, but ok for what it is.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Leighton (7179) - London, ENGLAND - AUG 18, 2010
Tap at Rattle n Hum. Pours a mostly clear, sparkling yellow with a medium, fizzy white head. Quite sweet aroma with lightly roasted malts, bread and crackers, light grass and florals. Flavor is very sweet, with strong malt and bread notes and mild hops. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Finishes sweet with a nice, crisp bite. The overall impression is sweet but I didn’t find it overly so. Good stuff.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 MartinT (6934) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 12, 2009
My Bottom Line:
Spritzy peppery, herbal hops dally within crisp hay, leading to a prolonged hop finish.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the pale golden.
-Why is 7% abv necessary for a product which is supposed to be so quenching?
-This is in the same mood as some High and Mighty products, which I like a lot.
-This is lean-bodied, balanced, and thus very drinkable. Me likey.
Bottle.

Bottle from Capone’s and CAH. Pours chill hazy gold with 2f white head. Nose is pale malt, hopcitrud, some fruit. Tastes very malty and citric, bready, somewhat cloying, with hops, and a floral metallic slight tartness late. Not bad.

22oz courtesy of Travlr. Poured a clear yellow with a thin, temporary white head. No lace. Sweet grains, cereal, cream of wheat, and artificial banana flavoring in the nose. Taste is cereal, artificial banana ending with some powerful piney, forest floor hoppiness that is sort of a welcome balancing agent to what is quickly becoming a sickly sweet, cloying body. Interesting.

Bottle at the Cuvee de Castleton release at Captain Lawrence. Pours a fizzy yellow with a thin white head. Smells like a traditional lager, with a nice grain note, and caramel. Medium bodied, light sweetness. Finishes with a light bitterness. Decent easy drinking lager, just not really my thing.
