COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Welcome to our Field Mouse’s Farewell. It’s a late spring seasonal beer: French, rustic, 7%, full of different grains: Rye, Oats, Wheat and Barley. Like what a mouse would eat. The hops are Strisselspalt from Alsace, and Bramling Cross from England, and we combined Belgian and English yeast strains. Oldy woldy worldy.

Bottle, 22oz. An unclear one, golden in color and with a small, off-white head. The aroma is sort of sugary, with tropical fruits and a touch of pine cones. The flavor is too much on the sweet side I think, fruity and with a little hint of pale malts. Medium to full body, quite effervescent, far from dry. Some bitterness chimes in towards the end. Rather metallic finish. Not tasting bad this one, but it’s not my kind of beer in any way. 140301

650 ml bottle.
Pours a golden orange colour with a white head. Aroma of apricot, some floral notes and some alcohol notes. Flavour of caramel, apricot jam, musty yeast, bread, strong earthy notes, grassy bitterness and some citrus. Medium bodied, foamy mouthfeel. Finishes with warming alcohol and some sweetness. Musty.

65 cl bottle.
Clear copper color, small head. Sweet fruity aroma, reminds me a bit of sahti, yeast, toffee and mild hop notes too. Sweet taste with caramel malts, some citric fruits and yeast. Soft carbonation, sweet lingering sourish finish. A bit weird for a Saison but quite tasty.

Bomber bought @ bierkompass.de. Pours hazy deep golden with a frothy offwhite head that leaves a small trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty and tiny funky with dark bread, cereal, lemon juice, black pepper corns, lemon zest, hay and dry soil. Taste is tiny sweet, bitter, malty, earthy and tiny funky with toasted cereal, sweet dark bread, moist soil, wood, lemon zest, leather, barnyard, lemon juice, oatmeal cookies, hay as black pepper corns. Mouthfeel is slightly dry, slightly tart, tiny soft and medium bodied. Finish is slightly bitter, tiny sour, malty and funky with dark bread, cereal, hay, lemon zest, moist soil, leather, black pepper corns and St Johns wort. Very rustic malty saison that turns out quite tasty...
