COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Welcome to our Field Mouse’s Farewell. It’s a late spring seasonal beer: French, rustic, 7%, full of different grains: Rye, Oats, Wheat and Barley. Like what a mouse would eat. The hops are Strisselspalt from Alsace, and Bramling Cross from England, and we combined Belgian and English yeast strains. Oldy woldy worldy.

22 ounce bottle thanks to lukaduke. Poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a translucent copper with a big frothy white head of foam. The aroma is more spice forward than anything. I get notes of nutmeg, wheat, oats, cinnamon, and caramel. In the taste I get a spice forward sweetness. Fairly bread, or doughy. Some musky qualities as well. Medium bodied. Medium carbonation. Decent, but that spicy quality, which I assume is mostly due to the rye used, maybe even some of the oats, it just doesn’t do it for me.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2013 Bomber. Pours a hazy, amber gold with a foamy off-white head. Aromas of yeast, citrus, clove, and earthy notes. Flavor is sweet citrus, bread, spice and pine. Light bodied, dry finish with a light bitterness.

22oz bottle pours a hazy amber color without much head. Labelled as an amber saison but has some sweetness to taste more like a triple. Taste of marmalade and belgian yeast.

Tap at Mikkeller SF. Hazy gold - huge white head. Big estery yeastiness on the nose: plenty of earthy euro hops in there, slightly musty. Taste is great saison mustiness, light citrus zest, earthy hops, bready malt. Medium dry finish. Good stuff - taking a leaf out of Dupont's book, not too much new world hop craziness in here, just a solid estery trad saison.

Bottle. This is a really nice saison with lots of grain flavours crossing over.

22oz bottle into snifter, little head, dark brassy gold color. Nose is subtle, orange, lemon, wheat, cereal, spicy. Mouthfeel is smooth, low carbonation. Taste is citrus, cereal, spices, banana, hay, wheat, bready, corn, belgian saison. Finish is lemon, mild bitter. Good, not amazing, but very solid.

Bottle. Pours amber brown with off white head. Nose and taste of rye, aged fruit, toasted oats, yeast, toasted barley, banana, clove, nutmeg and pear. Medium body. A little too much alcohol in the finish for a saison.
