3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
My Bottom Line :
Peppery spiciness and orangey fruitiness adorn rich rye and bread dough allusions while minty, earthy hops add even more depth.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A beautiful head of foam garnishes the clear amber.
-The fluffy mouthfeel is highly enjoyable.
-The yeast and hop tandem is complex, well chosen.
-The hop bitterness is spicy and earthy.
-The rye contribution is prevalent yet never heavy.

10 oz. Snifter showed hazy gold, nice head for such low carbonation. Nice retention. Smells of Belgian yeast, candy sugar with a light flower hop. Great flavor, yeast has a big presence. Spicy finish. Along with flavors from nose. REAL flavorful. Give a try, I could drink this anytime.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a deep copper color with a finger or so off white head. The aromas are ripe citrus, touches of sweet pale malts and alot of funky yeast notes as well. On the palate its a big Belgian golden ale style with lots of subtle herbal earthy notes mixed with sweet malty flavors and nice bitterness too. The spicy rye comes through as well as the smooth full body from the oats but loads of carbonation make this somewhat refreshing and not too boozy.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours amber with thin golden/white head. The rye is slightly overpowering, lending the beer a hoppier flavor.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz. bottle from michael-pollack- thanks again, Pollack! Batch 2, bottled May 2011. Pours a hazy orange with a finger of frothy white head and plenty of sediment in the glass, especially on the late pours. Aroma of orange citrus, rye, caramel malts, grass, floral notes, and a lot of candi sugar and dried fruit sweetness. The flavor stays faithful to the aroma, and gets sweeter as it warms. Medium-bodied, with a spicy, sweet mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Not much farmhouse quality to it but not a bad saison.

Shared a 1 Pt. 6 Fl. Oz. bottle of this w/ friends @ 4 Hands Brewing Co in St. Louis, MO. Poured from the Purple/Yellow Grass Labeled bottle w/ a mouse on the bottom of the label into a 12oz- 4 Hands Brewing Snifter Glass. Has BOTTLED APRIL 2011- BATCH 11 on the throat of the bottle.
Aroma- Very musky, bit of orange, and light hops are all included in this aroma. Has a small hint of spice but nothing too huge. Good all around attributes.
Appearance- Pours a 1 finger head that dies fairly quickly. Has a dark orange colored body that is hazy and appropriate for the style. Leaves no suds behind.
Flavor- Has a nice orange/citric taste with a big time malty background. Has light hops included and a definitely potent rye character. Cool! Light-medium bitterness finishes the flavor.
Mouthfeel- Light-Medium Bodied, High Carbonation, Effervescent, and then has oats and rye mixed together. Great qualities!
Overall Impression- A very interesting beer for this style! Finally have enjoyed a beer from Pretty Things. Have really been interested in their beers. I recommend this beer without a doubt and suggest picking up a bottle if available.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a hazy golden color with a tall white head. A nice citrusy aroma along with grass and yeast. Some bread and cracker malt notes along with a hint of spice (mostly white pepper) and straw. The flavor is quite similar to the aroma. Good balance of malt and yeast contributions. Moderate sweetness with some citrus notes, mild pepper, grass, straw, and yeast flavors.
