Draft at railroad. Pours clear copper with a small white head that quickly dissipates. The aroma Is pretty typical for a tripel with a little extra kick. The taste is medium bitter and not like your typical. This adds a new dimension to the style

I may not be the best to cover a Belgian style ale as it is one of my least favorites, and, admittedly, i bought this because it said "Hoppy Triple". I took that to mean a triple IPA...silly me. This IS though rather hoppy for a Belgian style ale, and it pleases me. However, too much of the Belgian influence is present and I lose interest. Itís color is beautiful. This must be such a basic composition of malts that it is beautiful. This color and texture is a hard thing to combine. Not my favorite, but if handed a bottle Iíd drink it providing Iíd already had one or two.

from Erzbierschof - pours a cloudy bright orange beer with a little yet long lasting foam; aroma of honey and fruity hops (apricots dominate); some notes of cream; full-bodied, subtle carbonation, long estery hoppy fruity finish with notes of hay and corn - very good one

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Smells like a fairly clean Wit, soft and citrusy. Hops are there, but definitely not over the top.

22oz bottle courtesy of a trade from a while back - kept in fridge to prevent the hops from fading too much... bottle yields a mostly transparent golden, well carbonated, hue with effervescence throughout. a fluffy white head rests on top that quickly reduces down to a thin film...sweet dried fruit and belgian yeast paints the aroma. semi-sweet with a touch of banana. hops remain absent for the most part although a faint grassiness surfaces late... flavors are sweet and very tripel like with a firm belgian yeast profile upfront. light breadiness with softer grains through the middle which eventuallly give way to a very dry grassiness on the backend. body stays clear of the cloying thicker nature of some tripels which provides drinkability. ok but not my style.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber. Cloudy, golden body. Fluffy white head, rapidly diminishing. Aroma of spice, clove, toasted grain, honey, citrus, lemon. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture and lively carbonation. Taste of clove and grapefruit. Sugary sweet taste that turns sticky. It avoids being too cloying.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
golden color, white fluffy head, hop nose. Wet dough but silky, floral sprucey aromas. Clean med mouthfeel, but nice crisp beginning with cereal hint of caramel, butterscotch notes. Leather with an ending of hoppiness. Well balanced and not too much anything, lots of malty goodness to allow the front to be slightly bold and easily roll into the hopped finish. Very nice
