Our first Spring, we brought you a magical tree full of waving babies… and the Baby Tree has stuck around, we’re happy to say. So for our second Spring, and each Spring since, we’ve made a pale gold, hoppy triple called Fluffy White Rabbits. This is a fun and Springy beer: possibly even our fun-est beer. In Yorkshire, they say “White Rabbits” on the first of the month for luck, and here’s to a lovely warm Springtime for all of us!

The beer is 8.5% abv, with Saaz, Styrian Goldings and Strisselspalt hops added aplenty. Fluffy mouthfeel: yes, really! There’s a faint sweetness with tropical fruit undertones. Fluffy White Rabbits is a very “Pretty Things” take on a Triple.

We use what we think are the finest ingredients around: malts from Weyermann (Germany) and Fawcett (Yorkshire) in this beer.

It’s a fun one, we hope you enjoy it!

I may not be the best to cover a Belgian style ale as it is one of my least favorites, and, admittedly, i bought this because it said "Hoppy Triple". I took that to mean a triple IPA...silly me. This IS though rather hoppy for a Belgian style ale, and it pleases me. However, too much of the Belgian influence is present and I lose interest. It’s color is beautiful. This must be such a basic composition of malts that it is beautiful. This color and texture is a hard thing to combine. Not my favorite, but if handed a bottle I’d drink it providing I’d already had one or two.

Bottled. Pours clear golden with a huge, lacing, white head. Aroma of yeast, citrusy, earthy and flowery notes. Sweet flavor that ends up dry and pleasant bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and lively carbonation. A very nice, crisp and light hoppy Triple. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Tap. Golden with one finger head. Light fruitiness with mild sweetness. Bready with a bit of citrus. Mild hops in the finish. Strange take on a Tripel. I can?t decide if it works or not.

Pour is a clear golden with a large white head. Aroma is yeasty banana esters with some pale malt and sugar. Flavor is some grass, dry bready malt with some yeasty spice. Finish is some pepper and but also a bit sweet and acidic. Not any more hoppy then a normal triple but it’s a well made beer and the alcohol is hidden well.

Bottle back from San Fran. Has that Belgian spice note on the finish like a triple. Pours a reddish orange. Light citrus sweet aroma and flavors. Finish is a little citrus bitter. Big body and chewy malt flavor. All working together pretty subtle. Not usually a fan of triples but this one works for me.

Super interesting and delicious take on the style. Brighter than expected, likely due to the job varieties. Super refreshing beyond spring!

Big growing head sticks about. Nose of light grass. This was my bedtime beer...it did just that. Gentle yet full bodied.. a bit too sweet and slick. For an Abbey triple it was still on the lighter side of what I expected. A bit boring, but it did make me snore and annoy the wife.
