Tasted 6/30/11. 22oz bomber. Bottled Mar 2011. Shared with Keir, phaleslu and others. Hazy with a golden hue. Webbed white head. Aromas of bananas, citrus and slight bit of bandaids. Medium bodied with a candy sweet flavor. Bitter citrus notes and astringent effervescence. The subtle pepper and spices mix well with the banana nuances and fruity flavors. Solidly produced!

Flavor is sweet, fruity with the hops balancing. Higher ABV is hidden. $6.95 for a 22oz bottle from Colonial Spirits, Acton, MA. Bottled Mar 2010.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 corby112 (2214) - philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 21, 2011
Bomber bottled March 2011, batch 2.
Pours a dark golden orange that is completely opaque with a 1.5 finger frothy white head that quickly settles into a thick lasting ring. Rings and streaks of soapy lacing left behind.
Earthy aroma with lots of zesty spice, light fruit and a slight vegetal character. Hints of pepper and coriander along with subtle booze and earthy, piny hops. The resinous earthy hops notes along with the spice give it kind of a saison feel. Underneathe there is a prevalent estery presence with hints of apple, pear and apcot along with some alcohol phenol.
Fuller bodied than expected with a crisp hop bite up front that lingers over the spice, yeast, alcohol and light fruit notes into a slightly dry finish. The floral hops give off a dry, earthy bitterness with some soil/pine character up front which counter the sweeter notes of the beer pretty nicely. Not overly hoppy but just enough to add some complexity and balance. The hops are complimented by some zesty spice, namely pepper, coriander and candy sugar. I’m also picking up some citrus and other light fruits, orange peel, apple, pear and apricot. There is a lot of alcohol flavor toward the end of the palate but I wouldn’t really call this beer hot. This is a unique twist on the triple style that they pulled off pretty well.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 fata2683 (2167) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - JUN 21, 2010
bottle pours deep gold with a medium white head. Aroma is candied sugar, pale malts and light alcohol. Flavor is sweet karo syrup, grassy malts, and a peppery hop finish that is super dry with only a hint of alcohol. The balance in this beer is great, one of the best triples I have had to date.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 pineypower (2149) - Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA - MAY 30, 2010
Pours out a slightly cloudy golden color with a frothy, fluffy two finger white head. Aroma is of strong grassy hops, touch of yeast, sweet fruits and candi sugar. Taste is full bodied with some grassy and light citrus hops, fruity notes, odd vegetable note is hiding in there also along with maybe some peach and sweet apple, light yeast and candi sugar, with some alcohol creeping in there too, with a little more sweetness. Overall pretty solid, but it was a little too sweet for the amount/type of hops used.
