Aroma is pale malts, tea and a mild sour twang. The flavor is pale malts, tea, medium sweetness/almost honey-like, very mild tropical fruit and a very warming alcoholic finish.

Bottle. Rich amber beer with a cream head. Fruity aroma with caramel and backing hops. Caramel and red fruit flavor with rich malt and backing PNW hops. Medium-plus bodied. Caramel and red fruit lingers with backing grapefruit and pine.

Orangy color with medium small white head. Aroma citrus and caramel malt. Full body, syrupy mouthfeel and lots of alcohol. Flavors sweet citrus, some esters, some malt. I guess the flavors arenít bad in and of themselves but itís just too sticky sweet and boozy to enjoy.

Bottle. Pours golden orange with a white head. Bitter floral and earthy hops, sweet malts, light citrus, and faint fruity notes. A bit too boozy, but otherwise enjoyable.

Pours a nice murky amber color with a white head. Aroma is of malts, figs, prunes, slight booze, and spices. Nice and heavy palate, sweeter. Flavors include malts, black cherries, raisins, prunes, and some boozyness. Leaves a sweeter finish. My bottle still seemed a little hot. Perhaps aging it for 6 months or so might make it a little bit more enjoyable.

22oz bottle pours a reddy brown color with a lot of head. Very sweet and lots of malt. Very viscous. Alcohol harshness subdued by the sweetness. Some mild hop bitterness at the end and a little pepper.

Sampled at Julioís Spring Beer Fest. Deep amber color with a beige, creamy head. Aroma is packed with sweet caramel, biscuits and honey, booze and hops. Flavor is also quite sweet. Heavy bodied. Like every other barley wine, it needs aging. Be worth while to grab a bottle and put it away for a year or two.

22 oz. bottle, purchased at Carlís Meat Market, Kittery, ME. Amber color with a gold hue. Massive head retention that left a coating of head down the snifter. Aroma is real nice, sweet candied raisins and dates, orange marmalade and some floral hop hints.

The sad thing is the aroma is the only thing this has going for it. I should have let this sit instead of drinking so young. I suggest if you have a bottle; cellar it a bit it MAY help it. It is overly sweet. Sticky caramel, toffee, light figs, thick organic honey with a blast of sugar toward the finish. Body is full and carbonation level gives a creaminess that is negated by the sticky sweetness. I got through about 16 oz. of it and could not drink anymore. Iím really surprised I didnít go into a diabetic shock after drinking that much. Cellar it for a year and split with friends, over whelming like most Barley wines.

Bottle shared at the 5k/7k/11k. Aroma of dark fruits, iron, and brown sugar. Pours dark brown and thick with no real head. Taste is clovey yeast, brandy, mince meat, and booze. Overwhelmingly boozy with an unpleasant fruity yeast. Very sloppy and unenjoyable.
