Bomber from Julio’s. Pours out a deep hazy golden color. Decent carbonation. Aroma is weird. Smell of sweet golden raisins. Flavor is also overly sweet. Perhaps this needs a LOT of aging. Not balanced at all. Too sweet. I am going to be lucky if I can finish this bottle.

After a long day of decent meetings and little lunch and no dinner, this was my main caloric intake and de-stressifier whilst sitting at the neighbors shed discussing the problems of the world. No firearms were hurt during this production. Big sweet citric body encircles me like visible electrons. A nice solid stoic body does little to mask the fact that it’s about to smack you with the boozy bomb of yummy alcohol. Birds appeared and then feathers. Many problems were temporarily solved.

Bottle shared during the Cad’s 10th anniversary bash - Clerkenwell, London. Brought over from the US. Pours unclear gold with a creamy white cap. The nose holds sugary pale bread and ripening citrus fruits. Medium sweet flavor with juicy citrus, mango, papaya, melon. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Sugary finish, sticky, with some tropical fruits, more pale bread. Quite sugary but the dense fruit character has its charms.

Bottle at the Cads 10th Anniversary bash, thanks to Leighton, 29/03/15. Hazed orange amber with a decent beige covering. Nose is big on orange, tangerine, straw, citric peel, candied fruit, sweet tunes. Taste comprises bitter orange, grand marnier notes, caramel, candied fruit, sweet licks. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok strong, a touch sweet at times, one to share - alcohol well integrated.

Bottle @ The Cad’s 10yr Shindig. Pours a slightly hazy orange color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy aroma with hints of caramel. Sweetish malty spicy caramel hoppy flavor. Has a sweetish malty hoppy bitter caramel finish.

Bottle shared at CBC Clerkenwell. Thanks to Leighton! Hazy orange, cloudy, small foamy off-white head. Aroma is tangerine, sweet caramel, musty and earthy. Body is medium, smooth, low carbonation. Taste has more sweet caramel, toffee apple, no real bitterness to it. Very sweet - too sweet to drink a lot of it - but nice in small amounts.

Bottle at the Cad’s 10 yr Shindig. Thanks Leighton! It pours deep orange-amber with a small beige head. The nose is soft, doughy, orange sponge cake, caramel, stewed orange and candy. The taste is bitter-sweet, juicy, caramel, stewed orange, muffin, tangerine, candied fruits, booze and brioche with a sweet finish. Full body and fine carbonation. A bit too sweet, but overall not bad.

Bottle that I took to James’ for the multi-K tasting. Pours a hazed ruby amber with a large beige tan head. Sweet grainy musk on the nose, caramel and sweet toffee. Grainy and sweet into the finish. Decent enough, but super malty and a touch too sweet for me.

22 oz. bottle at home. Pours a hazy orange/dark golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, candied dark fruits, dates, herbal hops, some bitterness, alcohol heat, boozy, this one needed some time and I should have shared it with others, because it was hard to finish alone.

Aroma is pale malts, tea and a mild sour twang. The flavor is pale malts, tea, medium sweetness/almost honey-like, very mild tropical fruit and a very warming alcoholic finish.
