Lovely fresh and vibrant saison. Typically I am not a fan of the style but this got my attention with is lively yeast and spice characters. Refreshing.

Lemony, spiced aroma. Clear golden in color with a slight sudsy white head. Balanced (not too dry or sweet) with a clean spiced and citrus peel character. I like this saison. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle: Pours a tangerine orange color with a fleeting white head. Nose is mild, dry florals, yeast, and seemingly creamed corn. As it warms, the florals open up a bit and it has more of a spicey/lively floral smell. Potent florals in the taste; herbal and barnyard. Good yeast flavors and mild barnyard. A bit of fresh rye bread before finishing with a crisp floral and yeast flurry. Overall good, but not great offering of the Americanized saison.

First pour resulted in almost no head. Second pour, a very vigorous one, produced a nice fluffy white head atop a good looking sunflower color. Clean, clear look, very few active bubbles. As a result if the weak head on this thing, the nose isn't very notable. Very very faint spice. Mainly fruity esters, a little citrus, and some grass. Smells closer to a tripel with there being almost no spice or funk. Taste is fairly straightforward. Not a lot of complexity here. Lemon and dill are the major players. Enough carbonation on the mouthfeel despite lack of bubbles. There's some apple skin and faint saison yeast playing with the lemony herb flavor. Mild bitterness on the finish. No pepper, no phenols. Actually feels pretty good on the mouth. Full light bodied, decent carbonation in the mouth. Not a complex beer and not particularly representative of the saison style. The flavor is actually pretty good , though. And drinkable. Poor man's Pfriem Little Saison. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not a beer that has its own distinct character. Very pale, light and easy drinking, lots to remind you what youre drinking, musty yeasty astringent, and very good at it too.

A slightly disconcerting translucent pale yellow with a bit of white head to it. Fruity yeast byproducts dominate the aroma. Hops join in during the flavor, providing plenty of citrus notes. Backed by a light sweet malt. Its thick but still manages to have very fluffy feeling carbonation. A little lingering bitterness and some minor alcohol heat rounds out the mouthfeel. Mmmmm tasty, Im happy this is so easy to find around Boston.

Bottle: The aroma consists of citrus, herbal notes, light sour lemon, and straw. It pours a cloudy dark brownish-orange with a one finger off-white head that fades to a thin film. There is some sporadic soapy webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with moderate-heavy orange. There are some strange herbal notes in the middle. The finish has moderate sour lemon in the finish. Its medium bodied with lively, but not prickly, carbonation. Overall, the herbal notes in the beer are a little strange.
