4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Easily the best saison Iíve ever had (which I consider a hit or miss style). The yeast/breadiness was there and so was an unexpected hoppiness. This beer was very balance and quite possibly the most drinkable beer Iíve ever had. This was a gulper for me.

Not a beer that has itís own distinct character. Very pale, light and easy drinking, lots to remind you what youíre drinking, musty yeasty astringent, and very good at it too.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
A slightly disconcerting translucent pale yellow with a bit of white head to it. Fruity yeast byproducts dominate the aroma. Hops join in during the flavor, providing plenty of citrus notes. Backed by a light sweet malt. Itís thick but still manages to have very fluffy feeling carbonation. A little lingering bitterness and some minor alcohol heat rounds out the mouthfeel. Mmmmm tasty, Iím happy this is so easy to find around Boston.

Bottle: The aroma consists of citrus, herbal notes, light sour lemon, and straw. It pours a cloudy dark brownish-orange with a one finger off-white head that fades to a thin film. There is some sporadic soapy webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with moderate-heavy orange. There are some strange herbal notes in the middle. The finish has moderate sour lemon in the finish. Itís medium bodied with lively, but not prickly, carbonation. Overall, the herbal notes in the beer are a little strange.

Bottle bought at Redstone Liquor Store (Stoneham, MA). Pours almost clear golden with foamy white head. Good lacing. Aroma: honey, malt, citrus, lavender, saison yeast. Same in taste, but more pronounced. Gets better as it gets warmer. Medium bodied, refeshing and enjoyable.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Poured from the bottle into a wineglass like glass. Yellow in color with medium amount of white bubbly head. Head receded fairly quickly with very little lacing. Smell was odd. Lemon, white wine and some vinegar. I began to think íinfectioní. Taste was like lemon juice and nail polish. Iíd heard from several people that nail polish would be very apparent when you get it, and sure enough, it was. First infected beer that I didnít realize was infected before I opened it. I have seen bacteria floating on the top of a beer before and just didnít open it. This was unfortunate. This was an extra from a trade, so itís not like I spent money on it; but Iíd heard good things about this beer and still am for the next time I stumble upon one.
