Bottle at the Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Very hazy amber beer. Little white head. Dry palate, slightly soft. Creamy malt with a trace of spice. Vibrant fresh grapefruit and it’s accompanying bitterness. Soft and dry finish. Bitter aftertase. Quite a hoppy-bitter saison but it slipped down very easy!

UPDATED: JUL 15, 2011 22 ounce bottle at the Publick House. Clear orange, thick, creamy white head. Aroma of dust and orange peel, and a ton of coriander. Taste is bitter, dry, licorice, pepper, orange. Unbalanced. Odd. 3.2 Re-taste: sample of 2010 version at Paradiso Georgetown. Significantly improved recipe with nice sour grapefruit and barnyard aroma and taste, much better complexity and character.
