Bottle at the Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Very hazy amber beer. Little white head. Dry palate, slightly soft. Creamy malt with a trace of spice. Vibrant fresh grapefruit and its accompanying bitterness. Soft and dry finish. Bitter aftertase. Quite a hoppy-bitter saison but it slipped down very easy!

Bottled November 2009, batch 10
from 16th Street Liquor, West Vancouver

Cloudy golden color; huge solid head. The aroma is initially mellow, with yellow fruits, then comes a hint of non spicy Belgian yeast. The flavor is strange: there is some expected spicy malt character, but also a dim sour touch and bitter oranges, that make me suspect for a light infection; the beer is therefore not exceptional.
