Meadowlark IPA is a new juicy and floral hoppy ale we brewed to celebrate the flavor and spirit of American craft brewing. This 7% alcohol beer has a sunny orange-gold colour, 60 International Bittering Units, a smooth mouthfeel and layers of soft flowery hops. We wove fragrant Citra and Bravo hops from the Pacific Northwest with intensely fruity Galaxy hops from Australia. The malts are English pale & crystal, flaked barley with malty highlights from Munich malt and Roast Barley. The resulting patchwork is as “American” tasting as short ribs and slaw, and provides an excellent accompaniment to that kind of food too!

Aroma is rather fruity with biscuits and caramel. Flavour is sweetish with hops, exotic fruits, caramel and hints of apricot. Refreshing, I like the hops here. Slightly too sweet though.

Bomber. A clear, sparkling, pale amber/orange beer, with an average sized, frothy, lacing, mostly lasting, white head. The aroma is moderately malty (cookies, caramel, toasted grain/bread), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin, apricot), with a note of peach. The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety/oily texture, lively carbonation, very long finish with moderate to heavy bitterness, lightly to moderately alcoholic. Overall, slightly above the average in every area without being stellar. More than worthy.

Bottle from Olive Market: Poured a glistering golden liquid topped with a thick soapy lather of foam head. Aroma was perfectly balanced with a scent of buttery malts that give off notes of bread while also making me think this smells more similar to a bitter/ESB style than it does an IPA, but there is a pinch of hops that reminds me of how an orange tree smells. The flavor is well rounded with a sturdy backing of high quality malts with the hops becoming more apparent in the drink than my nose lead me to believe. Definitely an East Coast IPA but does have greener and spicy hops than I would have expected all while providing a different level of bitterness.
