Meadowlark IPA is a new juicy and floral hoppy ale we brewed to celebrate the flavor and spirit of American craft brewing. This 7% alcohol beer has a sunny orange-gold colour, 60 International Bittering Units, a smooth mouthfeel and layers of soft flowery hops. We wove fragrant Citra and Bravo hops from the Pacific Northwest with intensely fruity Galaxy hops from Australia. The malts are English pale & crystal, flaked barley with malty highlights from Munich malt and Roast Barley. The resulting patchwork is as “American” tasting as short ribs and slaw, and provides an excellent accompaniment to that kind of food too!

Just got this in at Olive Tree Market in OB--$8.99 a bomber. Looks like it was bottled in July 2012--what the hell? why is this just getting into California. Stupid distributors. Yep, upon first popping the cap, I get some dying hops. Lame. Slightly hazy yellow gold with a 1 1/2 finger off-white head, good retention. Despite being a couple months old, there is still some good resiny pineapple and Citra hops, some lightly toasty malts behind. Flavor adds a bit of herbal hops and still has the aforementioned good hop flavor, but also the old hops. Just a little bit of malt sweetness is tempered by bitterness that peaked at a 7 in the semi-dry finish, earthy. Medium body with light smooth carbonation. I bet this would’ve been quite tasty if I had a fresher bottle--no complaints other than the age.

22 ounce. Big carbonated pour. Sweet with strong citrus aroma and taste. That has to be the Galaxy, even though Citra gives off that taste, it reminds me of Galaxy. Slight malt build. This is pretty tasty.

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours copper with a fluffy, cream-colored head. Aroma strong of citrusy hops, caramel malts, and a little earthiness and dough. Flavor the same, with a lot of hops. Average to smooth texture. A really good IPA.

Pale golden orange pour, thin white head, light sticky lacing ..... aroma of fruity, citrusy/tropical hops and light piney hops ... taste is a nice mix of citrusy and bitter grapefruity hops, tropical fruits like pineapple and light mango .... sculpin like ipa ... has a nice bitter rindy hop profile with light floral hops and some caramel malt ... finish is dry hopped, rindy and bitter .... solid sessionable ipa abv hidden well

22oz bottle from Pinocchio’s, Bottled July 2012. Pours a crystal clear, light amber color with a big white head. Aroma is hoppy, fruity, pineapple. Medium on the palate with soft, smooth carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, cereal, bread, floral hops, a touch of pine bitterness, a neat honey taste, with a sweet, bread finish. Very Tasty.

Draft @ Sunset Grill and Tap. Nose shows malt with big floral hops and large amounts of grapefruit hops. Taste is mostly of the same with juicy, tropical hops, light pine notes and just a bit of malt under all the hop flavors. The Citra hops are nice and bright. The overall hop profile is really fresh and wet. Bitterness is slightly lingering yet not real lasting. Leans on the more classic example of the style. Finish being on the dry side. Pretty Things create another fine brew. Damn tasty and great on draft!

draft. Bronze tan color. Sweet, piney, not a big hop bomb, but pretty smooth and very drinkable.

the aroma on this is just the best. "juicy" is a perfect description, like tropical fruit juice medley or something. just awesome. like that banana-passion fruit-guava juice stuff. flavor is nicely balanced with a blunt bitter finish and a nice smoothness, slight sweet caramel in front. long bitter finish
