Meadowlark IPA is a new juicy and floral hoppy ale we brewed to celebrate the flavor and spirit of American craft brewing. This 7% alcohol beer has a sunny orange-gold colour, 60 International Bittering Units, a smooth mouthfeel and layers of soft flowery hops. We wove fragrant Citra and Bravo hops from the Pacific Northwest with intensely fruity Galaxy hops from Australia. The malts are English pale & crystal, flaked barley with malty highlights from Munich malt and Roast Barley. The resulting patchwork is as “American” tasting as short ribs and slaw, and provides an excellent accompaniment to that kind of food too!

Bottle from Beergium.com. Amber, hazy body, with a medium, creamy, sticky, white head. Aroma of grapefruit, flowers, pineapple, berries, grass, pine, biscuit. Taste with the same aromas, with a nice, smooth malt backbone. Mouthfeel is medium, slick, with a lively carbonation and it finishes bitter, dry, with grapefruit, pine and some berries. Tasty! Pretty bitter, but still very well balanced with both, lots of fruits and smooth malt notes, crisp and easy to drink. Great IPA!

22 oz. bottled shared by my son on Father’s Day. Pours deep gold with a two finger white head which eventually settles out to a thin cap with nice lace. Aroma is citrus, towards the grapefruit side, with a solid pale malt back bone. Initial bitter bite calms down after a couple sips to a more fruity hop flavor, which, same as the aroma, is backed by a solid biscuit malt back ground. Simple, but well done. Light, not heavy and resinous, like some of the better IPAs. Somewhat dry finish.

Bomber bottle, 650ml size I think. Looked pretty nice. Hops we're going a bit floral, tropical and resinous here, and I didn't think the malt held up to them. Still seemed very well made, just not my ideal combination. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy golden orange with medium small white head. Aroma citrus, grassy hops. Medium body. Light carbonation. Piney citrusy hop flavor, mostly bitter but some sweetness, good malt balance, good drinkability. Nice.

Bottled August -13. From Mikkeller Beershop. The fucked up thing by buying beers online. Bottle @ World Cup Tasting @ Hallinghansen. Pours hazy dark golden with a creamy white head. Sweet caramel, peach and mild pine. Smooth and dry. Full bodied. Quite malty. Okay!

I had a couple of ~2 oz samples at the Boulevardia Taps & Tastes in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is hazed orange golden with not much of a white head. The aroma is tropical fruit; pineapple, mango all a bit floral. Caramel malt is also present, though behind the hops. The taste is bursting fresh pineapple mango floral hops, bit of straw, and then caramel malt grain in the back. The palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation and drying hops in the finish. The hops really stood out at the festival, I had been on sours for awhile, and this was a great change of pace.

At just on cool and into a bulbous tulip. Looks perfection. Well conditioned, tight and tidy with a mountainous foam that holds. The body a hazy deep orange, sunny and reflective. Rich, stinging to the olfactories, resinous, peachy, whole hop nose; plump with ripe citrus and stone-fruit, and candied fruit notes and bountiful with vinous, tight, higher alcohol notes; smoky, blue-Brie, nettles, pine mulch, eucalypt - Lovely (excuse the grammar - a lot going on!)! Wow, a real productive, complex mouthful. Big body, plump like the nose. Soft, prickly carbonation with a smooth finish. Taught, tight, drying and drawing on the salival glands is the general gist. Piney, resinous, woody; nettles and vine clippings come through as does some sodden earth, straw, hessian sack (?), oak (again?), peach Schnapps, white, soft rind cheese, mild smoke, a hugely progressive, herbal hop bitterness that leaves the palate parched but quenched. This is the bo-diddly and it is far from fresh. All yeasty funk is going on but it is still ripe with huge hop presence. I love it. Could it be just fit at a year in the bottle, or would this be just as grandish fresh on draught!? Massively complex and admirable IPA. First in a long while to break these points. Burdy nums!!! (1 pt, 6fl.Oz, Bottled 07/13, The Liquor Shed, Jandakot)
