Meadowlark IPA is a new juicy and floral hoppy ale we brewed to celebrate the flavor and spirit of American craft brewing. This 7% alcohol beer has a sunny orange-gold colour, 60 International Bittering Units, a smooth mouthfeel and layers of soft flowery hops. We wove fragrant Citra and Bravo hops from the Pacific Northwest with intensely fruity Galaxy hops from Australia. The malts are English pale & crystal, flaked barley with malty highlights from Munich malt and Roast Barley. The resulting patchwork is as “American” tasting as short ribs and slaw, and provides an excellent accompaniment to that kind of food too!

Just got this in at Olive Tree Market in OB--$8.99 a bomber. Looks like it was bottled in July 2012--what the hell? why is this just getting into California. Stupid distributors. Yep, upon first popping the cap, I get some dying hops. Lame. Slightly hazy yellow gold with a 1 1/2 finger off-white head, good retention. Despite being a couple months old, there is still some good resiny pineapple and Citra hops, some lightly toasty malts behind. Flavor adds a bit of herbal hops and still has the aforementioned good hop flavor, but also the old hops. Just a little bit of malt sweetness is tempered by bitterness that peaked at a 7 in the semi-dry finish, earthy. Medium body with light smooth carbonation. I bet this would’ve been quite tasty if I had a fresher bottle--no complaints other than the age.

Beautiful in the glass clear medium golden ample white fine foam, malty biscuit taste and aroma, honey, bit of herbal citric aroma, pancakes, slight bitterness creeping, finishing astringency.

Pours bright gold with white head and tons of lacing...I’ll need to scrub the glass to clean it. Aroma of apples, citrus, and moderate pale malts. Taste is the same with some melon and a robust malty backbone. Very nice.

0,65cl bottle. Pours a medium, white and dense head; orange to golden colour, bit cloudiness. Smells fruity, pineapple, floral, citrus peel. Tastes biscuityl malty, piny, fruity, herbs in the finish; moderate sweetness, medium and persistent bitterness. Perfect carbonation, medium body, nice mouthfeel. Very nice and drinkable IPA

Bottle (bomber) from beergium.be. Shady amber, medium off-white head. Bready, bisquity, slightly nutty malt aroma, piney and perfumy hops. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Dry with medium to high bitterness.

Pours a light amber with a big, foamy, white head that stays forever. Permanent lacing...more like curtains. Nose is piney like a walk in the evergreen woods. Taste is slightly bitter. Medium body; vigorous carbonation. Nice IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Slowbeer (Mar 2014). Dark orange/amber, small white head, tropical fruit, floral hops, strong citrus/grapefruit bitterness, sweet caramel malt, full body, thick texture, long bitter finish. Nice.

Poured into a snifter, has a nice deep amber color with a good amount of head. Floral hops dominate the scent with notes of lavender and perhaps juniper? You taste the malt immediately then the hops take over, leaving a bitter citra hop finish. I was surprised at the 7% ABV because it’s so smooth. Great brew by Pretty Things. Tastes like a true west coast IPA brewed right here on the east coast. Cheers

Pours hazy orange with a small white ring. Smells of citrus and hints of pine. Taste is citrus punch with hints of caramel. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Pretty Things Meadowlark IPA finishes with a lingering soft bitterness.
