COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Meadowlark IPA is a new juicy and floral hoppy ale we brewed to celebrate the flavor and spirit of American craft brewing. This 7% alcohol beer has a sunny orange-gold colour, 60 International Bittering Units, a smooth mouthfeel and layers of soft flowery hops. We wove fragrant Citra and Bravo hops from the Pacific Northwest with intensely fruity Galaxy hops from Australia. The malts are English pale & crystal, flaked barley with malty highlights from Munich malt and Roast Barley. The resulting patchwork is as “American” tasting as short ribs and slaw, and provides an excellent accompaniment to that kind of food too!

Very dry; grapefruit, woodsy. A little sweet, for good balance: citrus. A note of dough. A note of pine. Medium carbonation. Aggressive. Bitter. Smooth, but barking. An American IPA. Great!

Bottle. Pours a near clear light orange with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has earthy grass and earthy citrus with a touch of flora as well as a touch of sweet grains backing. Flavor has earthy citrus up front with a bit of resin and some sweet grains in the finish.

Bomber bottled Aug 2015 - nose is spruce and citrus. Sip adds floral elements as well as a little hay. interesting flavor but watery. surprised by the lack of pronounced bitterness. Easy to drink and dangerous because of the 7.0% ABV. latent fruitcake

Bottle. Medium gold, with a firm build. Pretty malty first impression, but then the woody aspects start to come forward. This is an outdoorsy adventure. (#6074, 12/12/2015)

Adieu Pretty Things, you made some memorable brews! Meadowlark IPA is a good example, a very much straight down the middle American IPA, well balanced, good malt flavor, hoppy but not bitter. Big bottle poured (several times) into a tall thin tulip, which induces a pronounced and occasionally uncontrollable head in almost everything poured into it. Light amber colored, robust citrus flavor, good balance and complexity from start to finish. I’m sure I’ll be one of many buying up the remaining stock.

Pours a golden amber from a bottle with a thick pillowy white head, slowly dissipating leaving lots of lacing. Nose is intensely floral with a touch of hay. Flavor is also floral, but starting to throw in a bit of fruits, like peaches in syrup kind of a thing. Sweet but not cloying, ending on a bitter note. Full mouthfeel, slightly oily but not in a bad way. Very good beer.

Rated on 10-03-2015 at 800 Degrees Three Fires, Fort Wayne, IN. This draft beer has a small off-white head with a short retention, transparent golden body, no visible carbonation observed, and a fair amount of lacing. The aroma is malt, citrus hops, floral, and fruity. The flavor of this beer is moderately bitter, citrus hops, fruity, floral, and malt. The mouthfeel is smooth and this is a medium bodied beer. This is a quaffable IPA that is not overly bitter or hoppy tasting.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled in 8/2015. Pours lightly hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, mango, lemon/orange peel, pine, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Fair amount of dryness from bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent east coast IPA style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

This draft brew from a restaurant poured a head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a very softly carbonated transparent golden orange colored body and an excellent lacing. The weak aroma was hoppy. The mild citrus crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a medium hoppy aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of citrus and hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.
