COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Meadowlark IPA is a new juicy and floral hoppy ale we brewed to celebrate the flavor and spirit of American craft brewing. This 7% alcohol beer has a sunny orange-gold colour, 60 International Bittering Units, a smooth mouthfeel and layers of soft flowery hops. We wove fragrant Citra and Bravo hops from the Pacific Northwest with intensely fruity Galaxy hops from Australia. The malts are English pale & crystal, flaked barley with malty highlights from Munich malt and Roast Barley. The resulting patchwork is as “American” tasting as short ribs and slaw, and provides an excellent accompaniment to that kind of food too!

Poured from a 22 oz bottle. Cloudy straw color. Pure white head rises and then settles to a film. The initial aroma is intense citrus (lemon) and pine, and then it softens once it breathes. Medium bitter, slightly sticky, just the right amount of carbonation, and very refreshing. Pretty Things Beer and Ale Project has a winner in this one.

Poured from a large bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a pretty cloudy and hazy straw color with a very large, foamy-creamy off-white head with great retention, and good cling and lacing. Its aroma featured hops tones of straw, grain, citrus, and pine, along with some notes of wheat, yeast, and barley. Its taste was somewhat sour and grainy, with some flavors of yeast and wheat, along with lighter citrus and earthy hops. The beer had a pretty lively mouthfeel with good carbonation and a lot of fizz, and was fairly dry yet thick with a slight alcohol presence.

Pours gold with a thick white head. Aroma is pungent pine, wild flower nuances, and syrupy-malty sweetness. Taste is initially sweet malts followed quickly by heavy pine and a long mild bitter finish. It has a pretty substantial mouth feel. ’Hefty’ might be a good way to describe this IPA.

This is one of my favorite IPAs. Not dry, not overly bitter. Perfect amount of hoppiness. Very drinkable

Bottle. Pours murky orange with thick white head that lingers. Pine resin flavor that isn't too overwhelming. Marginal complexity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice and light. Grassy hops, with a light malt base with a touch of wheat.

Draft to taster. Looks good; a transparent gold with foamy white head. Smells of juicy hops with a bit of well-balanced sweetness from the malt bill. Tastes like it smells with a medium-bodied mouthfeel. Could be dryer, but enjoyable nonetheless.

UPDATED: FEB 24, 2015 Appearance: this beer pours with a large pretty white head, the head settles very quickly, the beer is an average golden color, hazy, laces nicely Aroma: pine, grass, light bread, alcohol Taste: bitter initially, followed by a lightly toasted malt sweetness, bitter aftertaste, Palate: heavy mouthfeel, bitter aftertaste, average carbonation Overall: a good ipa, I feel it needs a little more to differentiate itself from other Ipas, strong malt and bitter balance but this is more bitter than malty ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home. Clear golden orange with wonderful nose of evergreen and citrus. Tastes of rich pine, caramel, orange rind, resin, touch of aerosol spray but quite nice. High carbonated and drying finish.
