3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours amber hazy with a beautiful creamy tan head. The aroma brings some subtle pleasant sweet malts and wheat notes. The flavor is mild, so just right for the style. It brings sweet wheat and malt notes as well that are just refreshing on a sunny spring day. There are some light hop bitter and earthy notes at the end.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
In short: A full body toasted amber light ale. Surprisingly satisfying 2.8% beer. Excellent.
How: Bottle 22oz, consumed a few weeks after purchase.
The look: Medium-cloudy amber body topped by a large rocky beige head leaving lots of lacing on the glass.
In long: Nose is pleasantly toasted, roasted tree bark, leafy hops, birch tree, more… a very inviting aroma that was more intense than expected given the size of this beer. Taste has nice toasted grainy malts boosting a nice freshness sensation, crusty bread, caramel, notes of peaches, tree bark, leafy hops, iced-tea, dry tree leafs. Not much bitterness. Fluffy yeast coming through and creating a rather full cushiony mouthfeel with big soft bubbles. Never watery this 2.8% beer feels rather full body. Certainly one of the best (if not the best) Mild Ale I’ve had from a bottle. Not sure why they named this beer February 22nd 1945 but this is the date Uruguay declared war on Germany and Japan (I shit you not, check it out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1945) and thus creating the one and only day of WWII peace because both the Axis and Allies were rolling on the floor laughing.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
First off, this is a pretty cool series of brews that the folks at Pretty Things are doing. Aroma is light caramel and toffee, some faint molasses, and a synthetic aroma. Pour is dark brown, with a thin head. Soft carbonation around tons of toffee flavor and a lasting aftertaste. Very nice and full flavored for such a low ABV. Impressive.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This was a pretty potent brew for such a light abv. The aroma was like musty water, toffee and dank hops. Overall it tasted the same, but with a more rich toffee finish that lingered.... and lingered... impressive! Thanks to OmegaX for the share.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from South Bay Liquor: Poured a dark golden honey colored liquid topped with a soft thick pillow of foam head on top—much darker in hue than the November 22nd X mild ale. Aroma is bold and smells of deliciously sweet caramel and toffee like malts that makes me begin salivating. The flavor is rather tart with a pinch of bitterness or a note of acidic sourness but somehow doesn’t delivery in the flavor department as my nose had lead me to believe. It actually is quite mild and flat which is the style category they were aiming for, however, this is drastically different than the Nov 22 mild X ale.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Coffee, chocolate malt and light smoke aroma. Amber with moderate head. Chocolate and barley malt flavor. Light malt but tasty - this probably helped Spam more palatable.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours slightly hazy dark amber with airy off-white head. Distinct aroma of smoked malt and roasted coffee. Watery mouthfeel. The flavour is mild, with nearly no malty notes, just a roasted finish. It is definitely an interesting beer. My first mild ale, and definitely a decent one.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, 2.8%. Mild bready aroma. Cloudy brown colour. Good stable light brown colour. Good bready flavour, malty rye bread. Of course rather thin mouthfeel. Good distinct bitterness, clean and a little rough. Late horse blanket note, perhaps a little earth, but not moldy. A really good beer for its ABV. The mouthfeel could have been better, but that is the way is must go at 2.8%.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
from Erzbierschof - clear dark amber beer under a fair and long lasting beige foam; a charming flowery hoppiness; thin-bodied and a velvety palate; a late and light earthy tartness; gently bitter and with a pretty long flowery hoppy finish
