4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 Leighton (6893) - London, ENGLAND - MAR 5, 2010
Bottle pour at the Pony Bar. Awesome beer. Beautifully hopped with equal sweet maltiness to match. Pours an amber-yellow with a subtle cream head. Earthy hop aroma. Flavor is sweet and diverse, with mild fruit notes and light bitterness. Nicely carbonated, crisp but smooth, this beer was a pleasure.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 DocLock (6774) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 25, 2010
Bottle from Craft. Pours chill hazy copper with off-white head. Nose is caramel malt, fusel spirits, hops, pepper. Tastes rich, malty, spirity, with spare hops and a rich flavor. This one is anything but mild. and if they were drinking this stuff back in 1832, then they were awesome. Gets hotter as it warms, and lightweights need go back to Bud Chelada.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Ibrew2or3 (5741) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - MAY 18, 2010
Courtesy of bvc. Pours clear copper with thin white head. The aroma is fruity esters, phenol chemicals and then nose searing heat. The taste is very sweet to start with malts and some dark fruity esters. It then gets a punctuated from time to time by a chemical booziness. A mild ale, really?

Bottle at the Shenandoah Throwdown. Pours a mostly clear brownish orange with a medium sized white head. Caramel and a light hop presence, very subtle and refined. Sweet caramel and plums, soft fruit. The alcohol is mostly hidden on here, though it does peek through a couple of times. Sweet lightly bitter finish. Imperial mild? Not sure about that, but whatever it was, sure was tasty.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 riversideAK (5404) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - APR 16, 2010
Tons of phenols in the nose, some darker fruit notes - raisins. Almost smells like a malt liquor. Sweet and adjuncty with alcohol. Pours darker golden, no head or lace. Lots of sweetness upfront - sugars, appley plum notes. Toast and even a hint of leather? Tons of adjuncty sweetness wow. So to make a mild 10percen you add a shit ton of fermentable sugars. Mouth burning alcohol. Light but sweet, thin bit hot. Wow, an odd beer.

Bottle shared with jcwattsrugger. Pours semi-hazy reddish peach with off white head. Nose and taste of honey, caramel malt, pineapple and dried fruits. Almost an "imperial" mild given the ABV. Quite a good beer. Reminded me of a "light" barleywine.
