Tap. I don’t normally care for brown ales, but this was rather good. It was full of flavor and aroma. Lots of nutty characteristics, but not "grossly" nutty. It could have been nitro poured because the head looked like it, but I’m uncertain. Big, full body. This beer went very well with food.

0.65l bottle from Craft Beer C.O, London. This one’s deep brown in the glass with a medium sized quickly sidesticking brown top. On the nose I get a fantastic bourbon woody-like sweetness. To my knowledge this has not been barreled, but it smells fantastic! Lots of sweet chocolate and gentle roasted malts. There is a clear tone of alcohol and brown wood here also. A little bit of red berries here as well. A really nice aroma on this one. It has a average to soft carbonation level and a really soft oily to cloudy mouthfeel. I get chocolate, soft roasted malts and nuts up front here. A dark fruity undertone also, and it ends light dry in the mouth with hints of cognac, Christmas spices and some light acidic woody-sourness. Wish it has a bit more body, but the lovely aroma sticks. A fine one! 08.10.2012

Sweetish nose with some blue cheese and notes. Pale beige fast disappearing head. Clear dark brown color. Dry malty and hoppy taste. At the end hoppy bite.

Opaque dark brown beer. Small but tidy pale tan head. Semi dry and crispy palate. Mild minerals. Strong malt with a trace of bubblegum. A little spice and coffee. Malt turns creamy. A little hop balance but that’s all it does - provide bitterness. Lactose sweetness as the beer warms up. A complex brew, quite Belgian like. Tasty. Mild bitter linger.

Bottled. Lightly hazy mahogany colour, rich firm head. Fruity nose with strawberry and milk chocolate. Sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Crystal malt and black currant, cocoa and salted treacle. Mid bitter finish.

Bomber from Nikki’s Liquors, Providence. Pours a hazy dark brown color with a medium sized medium brown head. Good head retention. Aroma of cocoa, caramel, nuts and a spicy finish. The taste is toffee malts, nuts, chocolate, cocoa and a bitter hop finish. Medium bodied. Solid beer.

Dark clear brown pour. Aroma is bread, malt, grain, malt, a little bit of roast. Flavor was mostly roasted grains. Super grainy and malty. This beer was kind of like drinking a loaf of whole grain bread, but in a good way. Good beer.
