4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle. Pours brown with a small beige head. Aroma is of chocolate, nuts, grass, and malt. Smells good. Taste is very chocolately, with nuts and a lot of grass. Surprisingly hoppy as well. Nice biscuity malt backbone. Mouthfeel is very carbonated and sticky. Body is medium. Lingering grassy hop taste. This beer drinks very easy. I like it a lot.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours tawny brown with a beige head. The aroma has nuttiness, toasty malt, light horehound and a bit of dough. It has a medium body with a bit of bit and some fairly sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with a dry version of the aroma with some minerals, juiciness and finishes with a bit of astringency. The toast is more pronounced as it goes along. Really nice brown ale.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
This beer pours a very clear reddish brown with a medium light tan head with fairly good retention. The aroma is barely there, and it blends tasted malts with walnuts and subtle coffee beans, and the taste is mildly sour and a touch umami with a toasty aftertaste. The flavor is nice, but its nothing special or phenomenal. The palate fuses a slick texture, medium-light body, and a soft carbonation.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours in hazy dark brown color with low to medium off-white head. Aroma has a lot of caramel, nuts, brown sugar. Taste has medium to high earthy bitterness with low malty sweetness in the support. Sadly the bitterness overpowers the nice caramel notes in it. Body is full, medium carbonation.

Bottle share. Aroma is pistachio nuts, caramel, soy source. Taste is pistachios, clove, coriander, licorish, marzipan and caramel. Would go very well in the working mens’ clubs in the north of England. To style this is good but I don’t like brown ales much.
