Pours amber with a lasting white head.
Nose shows fruity hops and sweet malt in moderate amounts. Some cookie dough characters also show through.
Flavours perfectly mirror aromas and finish with a mild but well balanced bitterness.
Carbonation is mild, which suits the beers.

Has a lot of honey on the nose and is quite cloying half way through. Rather non descript otherwise.

Bottle. Pours dark golden with a small wispy white head. Aroma and flavour of caramel malt, spice and grassy hops. On the thin side and not much depth to this one. A dry and bitter finish. Nothing special.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 16, 2012 Bottle from the Melbourne Show. Nice and complex beer. Aroma is fruity (apple), and also sweet (honey). Light sweetness to start, with stronger bitterness taking over, good duration. Light to medium body, dry finish. Dark yellow and bubbly, the thin head doesn’t last.

Draught. Another dud. Smells a bit like rashuns - cheese and bacon corn snacks. And there was corn again in the mouth. Not good.

Looked a bit dull and flat in the glass but fortunately it didn’t taste too bad not outstanding but drinkable. Some caramel notes, thin body and not a lot of too much else.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pretty good stuff this and I don’t think I’d be too misleading if I simply re-stated the commercial description verbatim. Good hop aromas with faint fruity notes and a more obvious herbal, bitter edge. More hops earlier, with a hard edge, and perhaps a touch metallic, but I like the way it straightens the beer up. Some fruit and caramel to finish and quite fizzy right throughout.
