Beer with distinct and sweet taste of malt aroma gradating into smooth bitterness.

Some serious toffee and dried fruit tastes in this flat Czech beer. Really glad I was gifted it although I’d kept it refrigerated for nearly a year before I found out it was just over 10% rather than 24%. Take it between meals to fend off hunger for tea for another hour or two. I see others are describing it as over-the-top on here, but it’s acceptable as any strong beer can be for me. And by that I mean it’s brilliant.

A little bit of a failure of my own with this one. We bought it with friends during a trip in Czech republic, interested by the quite high alcohol level for a czech beer, but we didn’t know what to really expect and we drank this at warm temperature. Not the good way to appreciate it, for sure. Taste is very caramelized, much sugar, I usually really like this kind of beers, it is similar to Gouden Carolus Classic or Bush de Noel to picture the thing, so it’s better to drink these a bit cold considering the quite strong taste. Result was mixed for us, a bit too much soda-ish, but that’s just because we drank it warm. We didn’t had the opportunity to get more, so... Next time will be better. Still recommended for strong beers amateurs. APPROVED BY TAVERNY’S BLACK METAL CREW!

Bottle, 500 ml, courtesy of JFK10000. Shared with him and Miro. Pours dark brown with beige head. Bit of alcohol in aroma. Roasted, caramel malts, some dried fruit, but lots of brown sugar. Extremely sweet. Too much sugar for me.

Tasting at Ljubljana Beer and Whiskey Festival 2015. Shared with Dinko, Mišo and Shotgun Fred. Brown with orange tint, small head. Malts, toffee and raisins in the aroma, alcohol present there. Very sweet and sugary. Mouth-clenching from sweetness, but quite drinkable for a Doppelbock. Good, but to sweet.

Aroma: very strong malty aroma. Also plum, sweet cherry and some roasted notes. No alcohol, which is quite unexpectable. Liqueur. Apperance: brown, with rubby reflex. Clear, with almost no head. Taste: sweet, very sweet. Taste like not fermented wort. But this beer have his enchantment. Palate: full body, oily and creamy structure, low carbonation. Overall: because of ABV, sweetnes and texture beer looks/taste like liqueur. Diffrent but nice. Not my style at all.

Bottle. Color: Dark ruby brown. Light brown head. Taste: Caramalized sugarbomb. Very sweet. Malts. Where is the alcohol? Almost like lemonade. This one is not for me...

wow, wasn´t expecting that. Not much aroma, as somebody below wrote, I also smell vodka! Taste is very sweet, really like a sirup. Not caramel, just plain sugar. Where the hell is 10 % of alcohol? It is just sweet.

Ar: Chlebowy, mega palony slod, troche jak lausitzer Porter, troche truskawki. Subtelnie, ale wyraznie. Wyg: piana gruba, drobnoziarnista, szybko opada, czarne, nieprzejrzyste, pod swiatlo wrecz ciemno bordowe. Sm: Bardzo slodkie, czuc te stopnie plato, geste, lepkawe, batdzo rdza daje, palony slod mocno, ma kopa, ale nie atakuje %, gladkie, niskonasycone. W chu wyraziste. Kawa, odrobina przypalonego armelu. Po: Bardzo dlugi, bardzo lekka goryczka, zytnim chlebem troche daje, jakby polizac baterie, stare debowe drewno. Na samej koncowce lekko zalegajaca. Solidny nie-baltycki porter.

Dark ruby, small head. Aroma is surprisingly week, malts, yeast and some vodka, no roasted notes. Taste is so sweet it can cause diabetes, a bit vinuous and fruity, alcohol dangerously well hidden. I expected something like a baltic porter, but it is completely unique in a negative way. A really strange beer, bad for brain and health in general.

16.9 oz. bottle. As Primator Double Bock. Dark amber with a light beige head. Aroma is very malty with hints of caramel. Taste is again extremely malty, with caramel, brown sugar, and booze. Finish is overwhelmingly sweet. Could only manage a few sips of this one.
