500ml bottle. Clear amber; almost still beneath a beige head. Aroma has butterscotch and fruity hops. Taste has sweet buttered toffee and some pears with gentle spicy bitterness. OK, but the malt sweetness is wearingly insistent halfway down the glass and although the taste is quite like a bitter, the texture is rather lifeless even for a bottled bitter.

Thought this would be dire but was pleasantly suprised. Thick sudsy and deep ale taste with lots of malt. Did not know the czech’s did this style but very nice.

500ml Bottle - Amber in colour. Hoppy aroma with tea, hints of grapefruit and a herbal element. Hoppy and slightly sweet taste with tea, grapefruit and malt. The finish is hoppy, nutty and moderately bitter. Fairly impressive and worth applauding a Czech brewer for producing a beer like this.

Good lasting white head on an amber body. Grainy and caramel on the nose along with some herbal notes. Taste isn’t too bad, hops just overshadow the malt, neither are too dominant though, easy to drink for a Czech english pale ale.

33cl bottle; Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a short off-white frothy layer. Discreet aroma of sweet malt with shy notes of caramel, hints of liquorice and slightly herbal and metallic hops. Light-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel. Slightly fruity malty taste with notes of caramel and liquorice; moderately dry and quite slim finish with a slightly flowery hoppy blend. 08.IV.07

Large, creamy, off-white head. Excellent lacing. Flat, thin, amber body. Aroma: moderate malty, caramel, milk chocolate. IF and FF: light bitterness. Palate: light body, watery texture, lively carbonation and metallic finish. Light metallic bitterness, too weak for the style. As a matter of fact, it is light in all aspects. 11s
