Golden amber, thin head. Relatively light aroma - a little perfume if any. Rich malt builds well backed with a fair whack of earthy and tropical fruits hop bitterness. Nice beer and if from a name brewery would probably be rated quite differently.

Aroma of toffee, bread and dark fruits. Flavor is of breadcrust with a dry, herbal finish. It’s a good beer, but maybe a little simple.

Light amber beer with a thin foamy bright white head. Waxy nose of soap, sweet caramel, and musky perfume. Flavor is sweet with caramel, butterscotch, and light honey followed by a cardboard-like bitterness that counterbalances a bit. Some strange flavor combinations are at work here and not all work for me. Decent, I guess, but not something I would seek out.

Bottle. A clear, golden beer with a small, white head. The aroma is rather butterscotchy, with fruityness, grass and pine cones. Some alcohol notes. It’s full-bodied, nicely carbonated and rather dry. Rather bitter on the palate, far from as butterscotchy as the aroma, with grainy pale malts and piney, resiny fruityness. Long bitter finish. Overall, too buttery on the nose and a bit alcoholic, but it’s quite decent anyway. 150725
