18-Apr-07 (500-ml bottle: Obtained 23-Oct-06 in an international trade with bogdi1, thanks Juha!) The label date of 27-Feb-07 is preceded by several Czech words and is assumed to be the "drink by" date. Aromas of toasty malt, toffee, brown sugar, and sweet, dark fruits mingle with a bit of tartness for an unusual but not unenjoyable combination. The pronounced malt flavor is toasty, caramely and quite sweet, and that sugary (rather than malty) sweetness suggests the addition of sucrose, though it isn’t specifically listed among the ingredients. Plenty of toffee, plus mild banana and chocolate, with an occasional hint of smokiness in the finish as the beer begins to warm up. Medium-bodied on the palate, with low carbonation. Medium brown and perfectly clear, the beer is topped by a small and quickly receding dark tan head that leaves no lacing. I can’t say this tastes like a high-quality beer, but I still enjoyed the overall experience.

Bottle, 4.8% as Primator Premium Dark. Weak roasted aroma. The flavour is very roasted but not rough or harsh at all. Hints of good coffee. Has some cream to it. Clear dark brown colour. Fizzy head.

Bottle. Rather sweet, lots of maltiness, dark syrup. With some more hops this would have been a better and more balanced beer.

bottle sold as Primator Premium Dark - Pours dark amber with a thin tan head. It has a mild roasted malt aroma. The flavor is also mainly the sweet roast malt. There’s just a little hops character noticeable. While not very interesting, it’s a decent quaff overall.

Bottle. Pours a very dark reddish brown colour with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malts and coffee and cocao beans. Flavour has some roasted notes of sourish and watery coffee (quite watery actually) together with a hint of chocolate sweetness. Very thin on the mid-palate. The finish has some roasted notes and a very little bitterness. Boring.
