Large, creamy, light-brown initial head. Fully lasting longevity. Flat, brownish-black body. Aroma: heavy toasted caramel malt, caramel, strong coffee. Initial flavor: light bitterness and sweetness. Final flavor: moderate sweetness. Average duration. Palate: light body, watery texture, lively/soft carbonation and metallic finish. Pronounced taste of coffee, not cloying, also tastes like caramel.

Bottle, 33cl - Clear dark red brown beer with a large beige head. Aroma is malty sweet with notes of coffee and caramel. Flavor is malty sweet with notes of caramel, grassy hops and chocolate. Nothing special but a great beer when you want to keep it simple.

This black beer poured with a large foamy tan head and burnt malt aroma. There is a toffee and chocolate flavor that is quite pleasant.

As Premium Dark Lager at 4.8%. From Corti Bros. in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark reddish copper with a fluffy beige head. Sweet caramel aroma, a bit darkish. Medium body with finely bubbled carbonation. Dark malt, a bit creamy, with some burnt malt bitter. Does end with a touch of coffee. Not much hop IMO. Decent dunkel.

Dark brown coloured, medium sized off-white head, mild coffee nose. Slight roasted malt, caramel and discreet hoppy with notes of coffee and metal. Sweet sticky finish.

33cl bottle from Systembolaget. It poured a dark brown, almost black colour with a small light-brown head that vanished quickly in the glass. Aroma is malts and chocolate. Maybe a tad of coffee. The flavour is flat and a bit metallic which is a feat considering it came from a bottle. Notes of roasted malts and chocolate. It has a short aftertaste.

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2009 Dark brown colour, looks very tasty. Flavour is roasted with a hint of coffee and chocolate. Thin texture. Worth the price.
