2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Dark colour with lively beige head. Aroma and taste of very sweet malts and sugars. Almost like an christmasbrew. Too sweet and too ordinary dunkel.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled. A very dark reddy black coloured beer with a decent but short lived off white head. The aroma is sweet and fruity. Lots of caramel and fossil fuel in the nose. The taste is very similar. There is a smokiness in there amidst the dark fruits. My type of dunkel; sweet and full of flavour.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330 ml bottle. Average tan head, lasting with fine lacework. Body is clear and deep amber colored. Pleasant nutty malt aroma. Also some scents of burnt caramel, dark fruits and fresh hops. Taste is medium sweet dark malts supported by a light roastiness, prominent bittering hops and tones of coffee. Light to medium body. Feels fresh and dry in the mouth. Fine bitterness in the finish. Very likeable.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Black/brown with a moderate head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and a bit of caramel. The flavour is slightly sweet and malty with notes of licorice and caramel, and the bitterness is nice. It briefly reminds me of a stout, at least while it’s cold, but as it grows warmer it "just" a nice dunkel.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Rich, bready aroma with caramel, toffee, chocolate and nutty character. Clear and very dark ruby brown body is topped by a decent tan-brown head that recedes rapidly to a lasting cover. Bready malt flavour is not quite as thick as the aroma suggested. Caramel is present and overall is quite sweet although there is a burnt malt character that keeps it from becoming cloying. Some fruitiness in the aftertaste. Medium light body seems a bit on the thin side with fair to medium carbonation that leaves it a bit limp in the mouth. Tulip glass. A bit above fridge temperature. Bottle (BB 26/04/08, Brewery Creek, Sep-07).
