2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
(500 ml bottle). Golden colour, good thick head. Aroma of molasses and alcohol, hints of oak. Flavour is very sweet and alcoholic, a decent hoppy bitterness in the finish can’t save this beer from being too cloying sweet in my book.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
An amber beer with a fine off-white head. The aroma is of caramel, yeast, straws, and dust. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and straws and the body is strong. Probably the best European Stong Lager I’ve had.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20
Clear golden beer with a thin off-white head. Strange aroma of herbs and boiled vegetables. Maybe it is just me but I also find vegetables in the flavor?! Mostly sweet with some hops and citrus in the end. What is wrong with this brewery, I can’t believe how crappy beers they brew.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Hoppy aroma, some metal and malt. Clear golden body, small white head. Fruity flavor, quite nice.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Copper-gold, very clear, very carbonated; yellowish tinted head. Sweetish-alcohol nose, very malty, nearly syrup. Taste is pure maltsyrup. This is a good malt liquor; sweet, alcoholic, pâtisserie, caramel. Syrupy MF, full bodied, very slick. Good - but not exciting. Probably excellent in its class - but that is not really difficult.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: NOV 7, 2004 (on bottle) I don´t know, maybe I was in a good mood. But this is a prime example of a ESL. Powerfull malted and alcohol nose, really intreaging. Has a wonderfull pale amber color and an small head. A really full mouth, loads of malt, brown nuts and craneberries. Sweetness in perfect balance to the hopping in the finish. And we´re talking a clean Saazerhop here, no amarillo or sweet cascade, clean czhech beer here.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma is spicy, malty, hoppy and fruity (apples). Clear, golden coloured with a thin head. Malty taste, bit too sweet, fruity (oranges) and spices. Quite full bodied. Sticky brew. Alcohol decently hidden.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: SEP 10, 2008 Bottle.Golden colour with big, creamy, semi-stable white head. Aroma is very malty and pleasant. Flavour is very malty and very sweet. The alcohol does not show itself as clearly as could be expected, but nicely warming. A lot better than most superstrength lagers. 7 3 4 3 16
Bottle, 9%. Good sweetish malt flavour, quite caramelly, and peppery. Very nice, actually. 7 3 7 3 16

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Very strong. And maybe too strong. The dominant taste of this beer is alcohol. It’s kind of strange to find such a strong lager in Czech Republic.
