2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Dark golden with a moderate head, that leaves a nice lace. The aroma is malty and sweet. The flavour is sweet and the malt is dominating with notes of candy sugar and caramel. The alcohol is evident and the finish has a very low bitterness. Too sweet, too malty and too strong - and IMO to little complexity.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Plenty of fruit, sugar and alcohol in the nose. Very hazy, deep golden coloured body is topped by a shy, off white, large bubbled head that recedes rapidly to a partial cover. Flavour offers some toasted and grainy malts, plenty of fruity esters and a jolt of alcohol. All is balanced quite well by very assertive carbonation the keeps the sweetness from becoming sticky or cloying. Medium-full body. Can’t say I’d make this a regular selection if it was readily available but it was worth a try. Bottle (BB 03/04/08, Brewery Creek, Sep-07).

2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
bottle, BOM club shipment. This beer is very sweet and reeks of alcohol. The alcohol makes itself known in the aroma, flavor and especially on the palate. B/C of the alcohol dominating the palate, this beer is really not that dynamic nor worth buying. Not worth much at all, except a quick buzz and a ruined palate.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, Brewery Creek
Hazy copper-amber. Toasty, alcoholy nose that reminds me of Bucanero Max. Slightly dry character, mild toastiness, full body. Big alcohol signature but balanced by a fat, tangy maltiness and lots of caramel. Brawny stuff.

2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Dark chestnut with nice head. Aroma of brown sugar and caramel. Sweet throughout without the hops to balance this sweet beast out.

Bottle: Copper colored pour with a white head. Aroma, caramel, brown sugar, some alcohol, grassy notes. Flavor, sweet caramel and brown sugar, some alcoholic notes, warming. Sticky sweet palate. Not the best.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Yikes this one is essentially an alcohol bomb, maybe one should call it alcohol forward. Body is fairly thin. Aromas as well as flavors are dominated by the strong alcohol and not much else. In addition this beer is cloyingly sweet. There is not much else to say, the alcohol masks anything else that might be going on.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 oz bottle VIA Malt of The Earth Beer Club. This one pours a semi-clear amber with a very small white head. Nose is quite grainy with some caramel and berries. Taste starts very sweet, some caramel and ends with some roasted malts. In between there is lots of sugar and breadiness, as well as some earthy hops. Body is medium and carbonation is way high, which makes it difficult to discern the flavors. There does seem to be some munich malt amongst the harshness of the aftertaste.

3.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Light amber colored "porter" pivo with 9% alcoh. Doesn’t taste like a traditional english porter but is smooth, malty and easy to drink for such a high gravity beer.
