Bottle. Pours clear light amber with airy off-white head. Distinct aroma of hops with a boozy note in the ling nose. Sweetish, malty taste with bitter notes of hops and alcohol. Oily, sweetish finish. I’m not that fond of this beer style but this is one of the reasonable examples.

ElDesmadre (2279) - Mikołów, POLAND - JAN 27, 2013
Bottle. Sugary malt aroma, slightly bready. Really lots of (candy?) sugar. Sweet taste, syrupy texture, cloying, very thick. Evidently alcoholic, with an astringent finish. They call it a ’white porter’, well, it bears some reminiscence to a strong porter via mouthfeel but it lacks the taste and complexity. This combination of sugar and alcohol is extremely difficult to drink. I’ll pass on that.

500 ml bottle. BB 08/08/13. (Tesco) Děčín, Czech Republic.
Clear golden colour with small white head. Almond, malt and marzipan sweetness in aroma. Flavour is malt, almond, caramel sweetness and alcohol. Very strong alcohol warmth. Not my favourite.

(bottle) pours a clear deep amber colour with a frothy off-white head and some tiny floaties. aroma of cherries, caramel and light treebark, with a hint of apricots and milk chocolate. flavour is mostly the same, lots of caramel, bubble gum, very light butter and dark fruit, though rather grainy and alcoholic, with a herbal-hoppy finish. heavy-bodied with soft to average carbonation.

Bottle from random supermarket in Bratislava. Dark golden color with medium white head. Aroma of sweet malt. Sweet malty taste with caramel, strong alcoholic feeling in sweet finish. Too much on sweet side for me and lack of complexity, only sweetness and alcohol.

Swaroga (1758) - Brussels, BELGIUM - AUG 18, 2012
50cl bottle. Clear and filtered golden color with small almost non existing head. Nose : flowers, some honey, fruits like peach. Caramel. Some little alcohol scent. Sip : medium density body with oily texture. Good carbonation. Sweet with fruity peach flavor, some caramel and cream. Some esters. Little bitter hops on the end. The end is flower, little sour and bitter. Sweetness stays there too. The alcohol is there but not that strong. I would say it’s a good beer overall.

From the bottle. Syrupy sweet, malty, alcohol burn. Similar to the 24, I don’t much like either.
