3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
I get what they are going for. But not tinder dry enough, not enough woods and too much of that good ole brown sugar. Toffee, some raisin, some pepper in the flavor, but not enough. Slight to moderate acidity. A little watery. Quite drinkable, but only approximates the challenge I want from a beer like this. Nice conditioning and appearance.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Thin milk-coffee coloured head. Liquid solid black as the ace of spades. A mix of sweet coffee and caramel aroma with a touch of toast. Very sweet taste (too sweet) of weak iced-coffee, toasted almonds finish with bitterness increasing. Palate flat and oily. Initially delicious, but difficult to drink with each new swallow - so bitter. Matched wonderfully with oatmeal and raison cookies.

500 ml bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.7%. Black colour, moderate tan head. Aroma of roasted barley, notes of coffee. Smooth flavour, moderately roasted malts with coffee notes, a slight acidity, medium dry, reasonably bitter finish. Nice enough.

500ml bottle. Dark brown head with light brown foam. Smells like old alcohol-full basement with a slight idea of chocolate. Tastes a little like coffee with intense bitterness but few alcohol. Not bad but i have tasted better stouts

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This Czech stout-styled beer pours very dark, with very minimal head. A bit less oily and more watery than I expected, but the aroma is okay with notes of toasted malt and coffee and maybe some bitter chocolate. Not a very strong and full-bodied stout but I can recommend it to the fans of this style.

Primator Stout on musta olut beigellä vaahdolla. Sen tuoksussa on kaakaota, paahtunutta mallasta ja selvää kauran tuomaa aromia. Maussa on paahtunutta mallasta, suklaata ja makeutta. Jälkimaussa on hieman humalan tuomaa katkeruutta. Melko kevyt ja vähähiilihappoinen stout on kyseessä. Ihan maukasta tavaraa tämä on.

Love the four leaf clover on the lid! So difficult to rouse I honestly thought this was still on the pour. It settles with an almost naturally cask conditioned head, a flaccid, short tannish island, very fine bubbles arise to it. The body a deepest, darkest, brownish black. Ashen, dusty, chocolate, mocha nose, simple yet alluring. So soft, smooth, creamy and full in the mouth, are these guys taking the piss! Smoky, delicate, good earthiness, light peat with overtones of milk chocolate and burnt, bitter sugars, yum! Long, long finish is all malt and smoke, nicely bitter just on the swallow, again some heavily roasted cacao beans, maybe a little coffee bean too. This is just heaven for a session stout. I’ll have to get another bottle of this to compare as it just feels so good in the mouth. I think these guys nailed a Dry Stout word for word. It’s presence in the mouth is wonderful, its flavour just holds so long. I love it! (50cL, BB 10/03/11, The Beer Store Morley)
