Aroma is malty (roasted, coffee). Clear, black coloured with a brown thin head. Quite one-dimensional brew, okay though. Malty (roasted, coffee) aroma with some fruit (grapes). Little sticky, but dry brew.

Bottle, Řlbaren, Copenhagen May 2004. Deep ruby red, almost black. Moderate beige head and moderate condition. Initialy pepperiness in the nose with hints of roast barley and coffee developing. Coffee, roast barley and sweet liquorice in the mouth and sweet berries and dry roast in the finish.

UPDATED: NOV 18, 2005 Dark amber. Aroms is malty, with butter and toffee. Flavor is malty too, the butter comes back and it turns hoppy late in the finish. Quite a nice one.

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2005 No esta mal, aunque un poco decepcionante. Buena cerveza negra sin ser excepcional. Cierto sabor a caramelo.

A bit of a disappointment for me, I expected more from this excellent brewery. A reddy/amber colour and a nose reminiscent of caramel. It has a flavour that is quite plain and loaded with caramel but still manages to be thin and dry. (Bottle from Supermarket, Jesenik)

Okay, this pours a dark brown color and has a plug-hole aroma, that's not why I fancied Czechish pilsener in the first place but it has something. Poor aroma of roasted malt with a smallish notes of thin American coffee in the flavor. Some metallic feel in the finish.
