500ml Bottle in Ahold Supermarket, Prague Old Town (17Czk):
Clove & banana, some bubblegum & a mix of sweet notes including sugar & background fruits. Citrus, in particular orange feature & the beer seems quite fresh. Cloudy yellow, a large foamy white head & good retention. Nice lacing too. Bubblegum, banana & clove dominate with orange & citrus plus some coriander around the middle. A traditional, German style taste with some nice sweetness & a touch of spice from the subtle hops that come through too. Smooth, almost creamy with good carbonation & a lively feel. Spice & a light tang from the citrus helped the beer down & the body was a medium one.

A very good beer & as my first Czech brewed hefeweizen it didn’t disappoint & could easily be ranked alongside some of the better German offerings of the style. I’ll be picking up again if it ever makes its way into the UK.

Výčap Richtár Jakub. Tmavá žltá a jemne mútna farba. Krásna biela pena. Vôňa silno pšeničná, ovocná, banánová v pozadí jemne korenistá. V chuti je opäť ovocnosť, banány, jemne korenie a trošku citrusových plodov. Miestami ľahká kyslosť. Veľmi príjemné pitie.

Only slightly hazy yellow color with quite stable white head. Strong carbonation. Slight banana aroma. Light body. Over all slightly over average weizen.

Bottle. Dark yellow cloudy body, medium head. Aroma has sourish wheat. Taste has more sour wheat and it’s slightly overpowering the other aspects. Lemony and dryly sourish finish. Fits somewhere between a classic Hefeweizen and a classic Witbier. I prefer the less sour German takes.

Draught @ Kontynuacja, Wrocław. Pours slightly hazy yellow with small white head. Clear aroma of yeast, hops and banana. Sweetish flavour of yeast, banana and malt, with rough, sourish grainy notes and irregular notes of hops. Rough finish, with sweet-sour notes. Not bad.

rather standard hefeweizen with yeast aroma... featuring a little bit banana and spicy shades... full body and fruity and yeasty aftertaste... best Bavarian traditions...

Tapped at Hostinec Richtar Jakub in Bratislava/Slovakia. Yellowish light golden hazy color when flash lighted, hazy orange golden when not. Thick creamy white head. The aroma bombs you with bananas, decent spices and some hoppyness. Taste is typical hefe weizen, but lighter, more refreshing, with a huge banana load and with a finish that is surprisingly light hoppy. I like that. Overall a very tasty hefe weizen!
