Bottle from Yamaya. Aroma of grass and some lemon. Clear pale straw color, lots of carb rising. Grass, good hopping / mid gets a bit sweet / flattens into a thick, dull sweetness, along with a metallic note. Thin-medium body, some big-time fizz. Full-bodied and fairly flavorful for a light lager. Better than I thought it would be.

thanks to Omar for this treat, had at the Friday Driveway Ops Party .. . 16oz can, from Hawaii .. . pours a simple gold .. . really great foam .. . mild sweetness- with lots of hay .. . has an alright mouth feel to it .. . good but got a touch gritty as it warmed .. .. . Judy almost fell over here hose, "shit, i be trippin"

Blond color. The aroma is a bit Cornish, but the flavor even more; dry and smooth mouthfeel. Low bitterness, with a meaty feeling in the final.
Poor.

Almost a half finger of head on a clear, medium straw colored body.
The aroma is faint overall: a little grain.
The taste is mild bitterness and a little sour with a touch of sweetness at the end. Not much to it though.
The texture is meh with moderate carbonation and light body.
This beer cannot even manage to be "light and refreshing" for the hot island/beach environment.

Tap at Yard House in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Never saw this beer for sale in Hawai’i. Clear golden pour. Weak, white foam. Nose is vegetal, sticky stale candies, super heavy sweet maraschino cherry, grenadine. Taste is sweet cherry juice box, white sugar cube. Palate is powdery, papery. Very sweet. Not sure what this beer is about besides marketing.

This beer to me isn’t very good. First off label is misleading. This is not a Hawaiian beer. Taste like a sweeter bud light to me. Overly carbonated. Overall not very good at all. On the plus side at least its affordable.

From big bottle, from cooler, in plastic cup on Ke’e beach, Kaua’i 22/08/12. Slight honey on straw aroma. Soft, lightly carbonated straw, honey and lemony boiled sweet flavoured. Raffia tablemat. Contains ’island cane’, emblazoned with the archipelago, brewed in Irwindale, CA. The dirty, filthy, robbin’ bastards. Beautiful spot for a crap pale lager.

UPDATED: JUL 8, 2012 Had on 7/4/12. Not much to say about this average lager besides the good carbonation and lacing I?m assuming from the pure cane. Good to try once but wouldn?t drink again.

UPDATED: JUN 12, 2012 Shaker pint draft at the Pineapple Grill at Kapalua golf course on Maui. The pour is clear golden, with not too much of a white head. The aroma is sweet honey malt, a bit of grassiness and not much else. The taste is sweet sugar malt, along with an unclean yeast, grassy dry finish. The palate is light to medium bodied, high level of carbonation and the sweet finish. This was easy enough to drink.
