May 1, 2008 Bottle. A slightly hazy, golden pour with some floaties, and a big, fluffy, white head. Pleasant aroma of fruity, yeast, spices and a little cellar note. The flavor has pale malt, some spices and a good fruityness. Quite dry on the palate, medium body. The finish has some bitterness. A pleasant saison. (080314)

Jan 7, 2008 Bouteille de 330 ml dégustée au Resto Pub l’Estaminet (Rivière-du-Loup, QC). Arôme: Odeur de citron et fruité. Apparence: La couleur est blonde légèrement voilée avec une faible densité de bulle. Présence d’un moyen col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût fruité avec une pointe d’épices. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement minérale. Faible effervescence en bouche. Nov 24, 2007 Witbier haze heaped with rocky froth. Lacy as granny’s doileys. Nose of heady, gooseberry-like hops, apricot, clove. Bitter, fruity and slightly coniferous. Don’t like it much.

Oct 29, 2007 Bottle from State Line. Hazy deep ruby/coppery pour with huge, fluffy, 3-finger off-white head. Aroma is cabernet, scotchy malt, fruit, and yeasty notes. Tastes of tart cherry, berry, cabernet, with mid-palate funky yeast notes, and a semi-sweet palate throughout. Complex as hell, and nicely balanced, this one has carved out a space in the DLBF.
