Awesome blend of wheat, hops, and malt. Nice mouthfeel that lingers on the tongue. Flavor is a symphony of wheat, citrus, and malt. Great beer.

Bottled: Orange colour, unclear. Beige tall head. Soft carbonation. Fresh, yeasty aroma. Fruity flavour. Citrus. Wheat. Yeast. Green apples? Cinnamon? Watery palate. Overall prototypic - but not state of the art - dunkel. Lovely.

Bottle. Balance wheaty malt and banana aroma. Dark tan slightly cloudy color with ample, expanding head. Very light malt and banana flavor - way too light for a dunkelweizen. Pleasant but weak.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Pigfoot (2268) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 1, 2004
Earthy brown color...wait, no, deep orange in the light, mostly hazy, and blessed with a huge, snow-white head, delicately lacey, leaving traces in it’s wake.
Aroma: light and airy, with breezy citric notes, cloves and other spices.
Taste: a bit of a dud. Nice, raisiny, nutty dark flavor, but it doesn’t last long, barely a blip, actually. Light bodied, no texture, finish is a touch sweet before it disappears in an instant.
Too bad, I’d hoped for more...don’t we always though?
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 jmm1 (127) - Andorra la Vella, ANDORRA - OCT 15, 2004
dark caramel brown with a huge thick head. Not much aroma. Same taste than the Hefeweizen from the same brewer, but a little bit more watery here. Lacks of spice and roasted flavors. Slight bitter hops at the end, but rather neutral.
Overall quite disappointing.

Cloudy amber colour. Yeasty, banana aroma. Slightly malty-sweet. Banana in the taste, with some hints of caramel. Fruity. Somewhat light. Smooth, but light to medum-bodied. Not bitterness, but a bit sweet. Nice Dunkelweizen.
