2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: SEP 24, 2014 Aroma: Banana forward nose with some light chocolate and spiced bread; clove is faint. Appearance: Murky light brown pour that really seems nearly blonde around the edges; Very fluffy bone head that settles into a soft cap. Flavor: Spiced bread, slight chocolate up front that develops into an extended banana presence toward the finish; clove lingers as an afterthought. Palate: Full body, creamy texture, average carbonation, long finish. Overall: A little dialed back in almost all respects, which might make it a decent introduction to the style.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled as Konig Ludwig Weissbier Dunkel. Unfiltered orange-tan body, lighter than expected. Massive head takes awhile to settle down and become drinkable. Sweet malt and some banana clove aroma. Medium bodied, clean and light on the palate. Very light with the dark malts, this isn’t so far from a straight up Hefe. Bready and rather excellent.
