Very good brew. Unfiltered and cloudy. Nice head. Kind of a sweet taste that goes down good with a meal. I would reccomend this to anyone who loves hefeweizen!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: APR 10, 2005 Nice golden orange colour with classic flavours of coriander and orange/lemon. Had a huge pillowy white head that lasted to the bottom. Floral and citrus aroma, with nice bubble gum esters. Tastes include spice, citrus, yeast, sweet bready malt and a fair bit of alcoholic heat. Well balanced, nice body for the style. This one leans away from the big banana flavours in favour of clovey spice. One of my favourite summertime beers.

My bottle was labelled "Konig Ludwig Weiss" like some other RateBeer members. This beer was wheaty with a strong lemon element. This was an enjoyable beer.

I had this brew labelled as "Konig Ludwig 'Weiss'," and it was exceptional. Aroma is very malty for a wheat beer. I drink it from a belgium snifter glass. I drink it with my left hand. I drink it when it's cold outside. I drink it when I want an awesome brew.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: JAN 18, 2007 Sometimes it’s good to go back to the early beers and see how much too high you rated things. I had this at a 4.4! This time I got a light aroma with a little butter. The taste was thin and light, not real wheaty, but little banana or cloves either. Not good.

Beer pours (in Chimay glass) a cloudy lemon-orange with a small amount of white head that dissipates to near nothing. Aroma is of lemon, orange citrus with a faint hint of pine sol cleaner. Flavor is of watered down wheat, lemon, and alka seltzer. My brother's style of beer, not mine. Sampled at 67 degrees Fahrenheit.

Wheaty grain nose. Big creamy white head. Cloudy golden orange, with turbulent carbonation. A very refreshing hefe, moderately sweet, acidic, wonderful citrus notes, creamy body, finishing acidic and crisp. Nice and rounded brew

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Not the best weiss I've had. Simply no head that is expected with other beers of this style, some wonderfully capped. Flat appearance but spritely fizz. Wheat flavor is muddled, however. Something tastes a little off. Just not a good quality brew.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice, cloudy golden appearance as in all hefe-weizens ... delicate, yeasty/bready aroma, with hints of fruit ... has the standard liquid bread flavor of hefes ... a little light in body, but very smooth, and nice on the palate. ... Would drink it again without hesitation. Good stuff.
