4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A beautiful pouring beer, nice head and wheat like body. Fragrance was quite nice. Taste is very pleasant although not especially substantial. All in all I enjoyed this beer quite a lot. Hefe Wiezens are almost always highly drinkable.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cloudy yellow with a whipped egg white head out of the bottle. Sweet, thin nose and very soft mouthfeel. Traditional German wheat beer banana/clove spice flavor. Exactly what I expected from a German wheat and nothing more.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
The aroma of bananas, with just a slight hint of cloves. Hazy yellow with a textbook prefect never ending head, not that that is unusual in a Weissbier. A little sweet and sour, medium mouth fell but the overall effect is dry and thirst quenching. A good example of this style a little on the light side but flavorful enough.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A cloudy dark straw color with a white head that is slightly frothy. The aroma is of banana and wheats. The flavor of bananas has some bitterness and lots of wheaty aftertaste.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Interesting, it has all the hallmark signs of a true weiss -- light clove and banana aroma, pillowy head (almost), but almost no creaminess to the body. The feel is barely there at all. That says it all.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(500 ml bottle, under its alias König Ludwig Weissbier). Cloudy blond colour, large head. Lovely aroma of ripe bananas and cloves. Light bodied, some cloves in the flavour, refreshing. Like most weissbiers a short aftertaste, but what there is, is good.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cloudy blond color. An initial wave of banana aroma, disappearing quite quickly. Spicy taste, but poor in all the rest, with a too simple final.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JUN 29, 2007 Foamy white weak head. Cloudy deep yellow. Aroma is fruity with citrus, apples, banana and spicy notes. Flavor is fruity too (apricots) a bit watery, ending in a moderately fruity finish. Light bodied.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Spicy, yeasty aroma. Pours a straw yellow, cloudy, nice head. Satisfying spice, citrus flavour, acids present. A good example of its style. Refreshing.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Starts slightly cloudy dirty yellow. Brightens as it settles in the glass. Light yeast aroma. Very smooth palate. Not a lot of spice or complexity. An excellent beverage for hot summer weather.
