2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(Tapped) Orange, opaque color with a small head. Mild aroma with yeast and wheat, plus a hint of banana. Some banana in the flavor, which is dryish for a weizen. Slightly stingy, medium-bodied, medium-carbonated palate. A quite smooth, but somewhat tasteless and uninteresting weizen.

Tap @ Gustav’s Vancouver, WA
Pale yellow lemonade color with a faint glimpse of mist. Nice thick creamy white head & sheets of lacing. The aroma is malty with torrified wheat & banana/clove esters, honeydew melon and a little sharp alcohol present. The flavor is full of sweet fruit & nice wheat & bavarian wheat esters. Finishes citrusy & smooth. Very nice german wheat but a bit sharp on delivery.

Cloudy beige colour. White, rocky head. Clove and banana aroma. Slightly sourish, yeasty and very quenching. A bit thin though.

Brewtopia 2004: Cloudy orange with a thin white head. Banana and clove aroma, light fizzy body, sweet ending and very crisp. I would like to try a fresh one of these.

Pours a lite cloudy golden with a whip cream head. Great balance of banana clove aromas. Wonderful lite crisp body with a great refreshing flavor. One of the best hefe’s I’ve had.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled :(Konig Ludwig)
Initiall nose is quite yeasty before setting into the typical banana/clove notes. Pours a cloudy light yellow with a medium sized hightly packed head. Body is well carbonated. Body is a bit thin and watery but the usual flavours of banana and cloves are present but not as sweet as many. Not bad, I’d drink it again.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
A run of the mill weiss. Cloves and vinegar aroma, salty taste with a rather watered-down palate for the style.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled. A floral wheaty aroma to this very hazy murky light brown beer. The taste is floral and fruity but a bit thin. I’m still struggling to appreciate this style

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUL 17, 2005 This pours yellow with big bubbles and a thin, white, swampy head. The nose is a bit tingy, yeasty, sweet, with a lemon-peppery deal going on. The tastes are of warm bananas, salt, slight dryness, acid. It’s a bit thin and it tastes like you’d expect it to if you’ve had a hefeweizen.
