This is Royal Barvarian Hefeweizen. Why are the Bavarian Royal Family and King Ludwig so important to brewing history? The Bavarian Royal Family had sole rights to brewing Hefe-Weizen on Bavaria for over 200 years. No wonder we are the leading experts on wheat beers!

Aroma is clove. A little spice. Looks fine. Hazy golden with pillowy white head. Taste is smooth. Yeasty super yeasty. Clove and herbs not coming through so much which is a good thing. Palate is smooth. A little lighter. Overall a solid beer.

Just an average, decent Hefeweizen. Not as light or yeasty as I am used to and without any of the clove or banana that I so love about Hefeweizens. I’d probably not even call this a Hefeweizen but more of a Weizen alone.

330ml bottle into glass. Sweet savoury nose. Wheaty, almost smoked. Cloudy amber beer with thin head. Creamy mouthfeel, refreshing taste. Short wheat finish with tiny bitterness. Really good & moreish.

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2015 On Tap. Flute. Soft but nice aroma with cereal and banana notes. Pale and hazy colour with a small white head, scarcely persistent, that leaves a spare lacing. Taste: Softly sweet without almost bitterness. Banana, some fruity notes (peach) and clove aftertaste. Quite good weissbier.

Tart fruit, wheat, bubble gum. Pours a hazy straw color with a dense white head. Big flavors of fruit and banana light body with good carbonation and some sweetness. Tasty stuff.

I wouldn’t buy this again but it certainly isn’t a bad beer. It is a solid "3" and pretty refreshing. Where the "natural cloudiness" comes in, I don’t know, the body is a clear as a golden bell with a foamy white head. Herbal and lightly spicy hops mingle with honey, citrus and sweet cereal in both aroma and flavour. There are also some light vegetal hints hiding in the back. A nice looking brew with some tasty bits and a dry, zazzy mouthfeel.

Good solid wheat. Aroma has big cracker with hint if banana. Effervescent and light on the palette. Lots of fruit flavour mixed with bready notes. Good Heff -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10

Pleasant fruity aroma. Hazy straw colour that dissipates into a white thin head and then into a tiny ring. Looks better than tastes. Hint of wheat with a tad of citrus. Not the nicest tasting beer but looks really good in a glass.

Drank from a bottle. Quite a nice weizen. The taste has fruit and especially banana. Looks really nice.

Best by date of 08.15.14. Poured from a pint bottle into a weizen glass on 03.25.14. A: Straw yellow. Yeast at top. 1/4 finger head. S: Lemon, wheat, clove. T: Lemon dominates. Orange, wheat are there too. Banana, sweet clove are more subtle. M: Creamy smooth. O: This had a very sweet aftertaste, which I liked. The flavors were strong too, compared to more watery hefs. I would put this into rotation if I could find it easily.
