COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is Royal Barvarian Hefeweizen. Why are the Bavarian Royal Family and King Ludwig so important to brewing history? The Bavarian Royal Family had sole rights to brewing Hefe-Weizen on Bavaria for over 200 years. No wonder we are the leading experts on wheat beers!

500ml bottle as König Ludwig Weissbier Hell. Hazy light brown color, white lively head on top. Looks very nice. Ripened bananas, fruity, yeast and malty notes in aroma. Grainy, banana, wheat, buttery notes in flavor. Bites the tongue and then mellows down really quickly. Slightly thin, but still very drinkable.

Best by date of 08.15.14. Poured from a pint bottle into a weizen glass on 03.25.14. A: Straw yellow. Yeast at top. 1/4 finger head. S: Lemon, wheat, clove. T: Lemon dominates. Orange, wheat are there too. Banana, sweet clove are more subtle. M: Creamy smooth. O: This had a very sweet aftertaste, which I liked. The flavors were strong too, compared to more watery hefs. I would put this into rotation if I could find it easily.

Bottle @ Golfclub Eichenheim/Grand Hotel Tirolia, Austria. Hazy yellow, not very trüb, full white head. Quite carbonated. Easy on the banana, fresh nose. Vanilla, Gewürz, clean finish. Quite nice.

Draft. Hazy burnt orange yellow. Finger worth of white head with plenty of lace. Aroma is mild banana and clove. Taste follows. Bit of mild malt. Nice medium body, fairly drinkable.

0,5 bottle. Pours cloudy orange colour with posh white head. Aroma has yeasts, sweet fruits, a little bit of bananas and bubblegum. Medium body, hazy liquid, lively carbonation. Taste is light sweet, some spicy. Smooth.

This beer pours a cloudy dark golden color with a large white head. The aroma blends wheat, doughiness, citrus, and only a hint of banana, and the taste is mildly sweet, slightly sour, and a touch umami. The palate combines a soft carbonation, medium body, and a thick texture.

Pours hazy and light orange with a white creamy head. Aroma is sweet and fruity with a hint of clove and yeast. Taste is sweetish with apricot and other fruits (not so strong banana flavor like in most weissbiers) . Medium bodied and medium to soft CO2. A little bit too sweet for me, but anyway a decent hefeweizen which goes well with a freshly baked brezel. (0,5 l bottle, best before 28 may 2015).
