This is Royal Barvarian Hefeweizen. Why are the Bavarian Royal Family and King Ludwig so important to brewing history? The Bavarian Royal Family had sole rights to brewing Hefe-Weizen on Bavaria for over 200 years. No wonder we are the leading experts on wheat beers!

Has the typical look and smell of a hefe, but a bit weak in the taste, a bit disappointing.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

11.2 oz bottle pours a hazy golden color with a small white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma has bananas, wheat, light spices and yeast. Taste is slightly sweet with dry, crisp finish. Body is light to medium with lively carbonation and a crisp mouthfeel. Simple yet true to the style. This fit the bill exactly when I was looking for a German Hefeweizen I hadn’t tried yet.

As usual, a classic style of German weissbeer with the classic aromas. This beer however has a wonderful crisp lager finish which works very well with the flavours that are not too light nor overpowering. The balance of this beer is good and great if you’re not a fan of huge aromas and flavours.

Tasted from bottle. Pours a hazy pale yellow with thick white head. Aroma is banana, mango, Belgian yeast, spices. Taste is moderately sweet with flavors of banana, fruity esters, spices. Pretty tasting hefe. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I drank this beer in Lausanne. It is a classical weissbier with a yellow body. The taste is light, malty, wheat, almost no hop, banana but the touch is discreet, low carbonation and white foam. It is a refreshing beer for the swimming pool, ok.

Pours two fingers of head on a hazy straw body. The aroma is banana and spice. The taste is mild banana and malt sweet, with a little lemon bitterness. The texture is fairly crisp and fizzy. Not too bad.

Vale a pena.

Pours orange gold with a white head that lingered until the very end and adds a creaminess to each sip. Aroma is yeasty, and ladened with banana notes. Taste is lightly sour with a very mild bitterness, accompanied by bread and banana notes. Overall mild, pleasant sipping, but lacking depth in taste compared to some of the best Weizen I’ve tried. Pleasant.
