COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is Royal Barvarian Hefeweizen. Why are the Bavarian Royal Family and King Ludwig so important to brewing history? The Bavarian Royal Family had sole rights to brewing Hefe-Weizen on Bavaria for over 200 years. No wonder we are the leading experts on wheat beers!

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks troubles. As Konig Ludwig Weissbier Hell. Cloudy blond, white head. Juicy aroma, grapefruit, bubblegum, apple juice and some punch-banana ice cream notes. Very mild taste - a little tarty with light bitterness. Juicy, medium-bodied, light carbonation and apple nectar finish. Pretty good, but can do with some more carbonation and body.

Alengrin (1294) - BELGIUM - AUG 21, 2014
Tasted as König Ludwig Weiss, classical and litterally noble Hefeweizen with warm golden colour, hazy, fresh aroma of lemon juice, yeast, cloves, banana; and fruity taste with sharpish but very refreshing acidity, citrussy, soft mouthfeel. Its pungency makes this one of the more exciting Hefeweizens I’ve had so far.

Bottle; pours a cloudy gold with a big white head; fruit and yeast aroma; taste is wheat, yeast, and a little banana; has some light spicing and lemon notes; finishes dry with no bitterness; very smooth and easy to drink; nice Hefeweizen

500 ml bottle. Cloudy pale yellow colour, thick white head. Aroma of wheaty malt, with fruity notes. The flavour is wheaty-malty, with a slight sweetish fruity note. OK, but nothing special.

Clove, banana cake, quite creamy, peppery finish. Decent simple weizen, nice summer drink.

Bottle pour. Cloudy honey-gold with large white head in glass. Aroma is corn flakes, orange and light yeast. Measured. Taste has slight roast character, with mild banana, spice and grainy malt. Round flavors that sweeten on warming. Good.

Pours a murky light yellow colour with loads of head and carbonation. Aroma is citrus and fruity, some sour notes there. Taste is rather plain, some fruity notes there, not as good as the aroma. Goes down very smooth.

A good beer, if a bit sweet. On draught at Beer Garden, Lamma, Hong Kong. It goes really well with pasta and lighter Indian food and is very refreshing.

Beerheart65 (1000) - Pori, FINLAND - AUG 6, 2014
Honey golden hazy ochre with 3 finger dense white creamy head. Looks like it should look. Light sweet aroma has bit coriander, wheat, yeast, bit peppery spicy notes and fresh fruits pear, banana. Light and semisweet, just bit milky sourness, long taste, wheat, not that spicy. Easy to drink and refreshing.

Bottle 50cl. as König Ludwig Weissbier Hell. Hazy yellow to light orange color, two finger frothy white head, disappears after a while, thin layer remains, no lacing; aroma of wheat, lemony light sour, yeast, hint of banana; taste yeasty and wheaty with light sweet and sour notes; medium body, creamy texture; as in taste perhaps less yeasty and more sweet. A smooth weissbier, maybe a bit stronger than other weisbiere.
