Good traditional hefe qualities in appearance, nice hazy straw color, pearl white head. Good retention. Nose is a little tepid compared to other weissbiers I’ve had. Has a very citrusy aroma with some banana. I don’t detect any clove. Taste has a malty toasted cracker component alongside some banana, but overall it’s a very "cracker" tasting beer. Ritz? Wheat Thins? Finish is rather short. Perhaps I have an old bottle.

It poured a hazy orange-brown liquid with a huge foam that left allot of lacing. At the bottom of the bottle it had allot of yeast. It looked quite interesting actually. It had a weak smell of foam banana and a hint of yeast. It was weak but still strong enough to sense without trying to hard. Once I tasted it the real downside of the beer showed. It had a thin body that made it seem watery and a bit bland. But you could still sense that it was a wheat beer although it also felt like a mix of lager. It had both some foam banana and bread/malt. However it was still quite drinkable and I enjoyed it with the food. Definitely a lighter kind of beer I would try again.

Pours pale hazy yellow with large fluffy long lasting white head. Refreshing wheat with some spicy hops in nose. Wheat and some banana in flavor. Nice bitterness in finish. A nice light alternative.

Botella. Aroma of wheat, yeast and mild citrus. Big white creamy well lasting head. Ok mouthfeel. Flavour has wheat, some yeast, mild citrus, some banana and little frutiness. I do prefer a non/watred down version but this one is refreshing.

Had the bottle that says König Ludwig Weissbier Leicht. Decent wheat. Pours hazy orange/yellow with thick white head. Notes of citrus and yeast on the nose. Tastes similar and highly carbonated. Not the best but easy to drink.

A hefe with a rapidly vanishing head? Aroma of yeasty, bready banana. Tastes... well, pretty much like a Hefe Light. Thinner on the palate than your average proper hefe but not drastically so. Slight banana and white bread on the flavour along with a touch of citrus. Nothing exciting but hardly bad either.

Bottle 50 cl. Comes as "König Ludwig Weissbier Leicht". Very hazy golden with a tall, dense, off-white head leaving laces. Aroma of yeast and banana. Light-bodied with banana and yeast accents and a whiff of citrus. Finishes dry. Fairly decent for a light Hefe. 131108

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a thick off-white head. The aroma is sweet wheaty with lighter notes of citrus and cardboard. The flavor is sweet wheaty with light notes of cardboard, leading to a dry wheaty finish. The body is no wonder thin.
