KimJohansen (6676), Copenhagen V, Denmark Dec 25, 2008 Hazy yellow with medium white head. Malty aroma with yeast and wheat notes. Sweet malty flavour with hints of caramel and grainy notes. Svesse (2597), Hässelby, Sweden Nov 29, 2008 (Bottle, as König Ludwig Weissbier Leicht) Pale yellow colour with firm, frothy, white head. Rather cloudy. Malty nose with banana, wheat-flour dough, hints of lemon and spices. Malty, wheaty taste with notes of banana, pears and white bread, hints of lemon and traces of spices (coriander?). Fairly thin body and rather sweet. Decent for its strenght. yespr (11645), Copenhagen O, Denmark Nov 28, 2008 50 cL bottle as König Ludwig Weissbier Leicht. Pours hazy yellow with a diminished white head. Dry wheaty aroma with a mild estery note. Light estery fruity and bubblegum flavoured on the back of the tongue. Holds a mild wheaty smoothness and light acidic touch. joergen (8430), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 20, 2008 Bottle.
Hazy yellow coloured with a medium sized white head.
Fruity aroma of wheat and bananas with notes of spices.
Fruity flavour of wheat with notes of bananas and spices.
Light watery. kappldav123 (1790), Markkleeberg, Germany Oct 6, 2008 Had this as König Ludwig Weissbier Leicht. The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts mild, modest fruity, the finish modest sourish, a bit like a non alcohol-beer. Not really good! mybestfriend (261), Gothenburg, Sweden Jul 3, 2008 Bottle. Hazy yellow colour with a white head. Aroma has some notes of herby yeast and tropical fruits. The flavour is quite thin - and the beer is really thin on the mid-palate - with some notes of herby yeast and topical fruits. Quite boring but more exciting than your normal 3.5%-lager beer. turbothy (717), Bonn, Germany Apr 20, 2008 ½L bottle from Coop Konsum, Kosta. Pours cloudy yellow with beige head. Sweet aroma. Some yeast in the bottle. Crisp flavour. Not bad, if you’re stuck in Sweden. KnutAlbert (3108), Oslo, Norway Apr 11, 2008 Bottle from Svinesund.
Hazy hefe, nice moth feel. Wheat, cereals, lemon crispness in the finish. Light and thin, but I have had full strength weissbiers far worse than this one!
