Cask, Slug & Lettuce, Leicester. Amber brown with a cream foam. Aromas are weetabix and biscuit malts with black tea and some nuttiness. Earthy with hints of peach fruitiness. Clean and woody with traces of liquorice. Flavours are sweet biscuit and caramel with dry tea and gritty cocoa. Some lemon with traces of metal. Dry on the finish. A traditional bitter. Decent.

[cask at the Guildford Arms, Edinburgh] Dark brown bitter, aromas of roasted coffee beans, tobacco and malt. These are followed by a chocolate malt flavour and dark, chewy roast. Decent stuff [29102010]
