2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 oh6gdx (18576) - Vasa, FINLAND - APR 14, 2006
Bottled. Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma of caramel and harsh hops. Flavour is not as sweet as the 3,5% version, more dominated by malts and even hops. Mainly the hops is balancing away the total sweetness. Could be a bit sweeter in my opinion, but wellbalanced still, though it becomes a bit dull and boring. Not too much aftertaste, mayber some caramel and a bit roast.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 KnutAlbert (5186) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 22, 2006
Sweet Christmas beer. Some rather harsh hops tries to balance teh malty sweetness without succeeding. A major brewer should do better than this.
