Bitto Honey IPA was born as a gift to be enjoyed at a going away party for two friends, Don and Maddie Bitto - two new doctors from Philadelphia who were headed to Denver for their first jobs as practicing physicians. Bitto Honey is a twist on the ever popular India Pale Ale and has been brewed with fresh honey and a heavy dose of honey malt to provide great balance to the Amarillo and Cascade hops. We believe that Hops + Honey = Heaven. Don and Maddie agreed and we hope you will too.

had on-tap at the Tex-Mex. Nice to see restaurant supporting local breweries. appears a darker copper amber color, with nice white head. The cap of head covers the beer until the very end. aroma is pretty sweet, dominated by the honey. Taste follows similarly, with a fairly sweet flavors of malt and honey. The hops are subtle. Mouthfeel is very smooth, with lower carbonation that definitely works.

Amber-gold with a nice floral, citrus hop aroma. Flavor is thick and chewey with hops - earth, flowers, citrus, and tobacco abound. Plenty of malt as well. Nice and chewy with a thick mouthfeel. Nice IPA.

Draft @Field House, Philly PA. Deep hazy amber with cascading carbonation the produced head like a nitro stout. Thick lacing. The nose has caramel malt sweetness forward with light citrus notes hiding beneath the malt. Flavor has citrus and floral hops upfront, leading into a sweet honey malt finish. Medium to full in body with a silky texture. Hopheads may think this is to malty but I really like what the brewer did here. Very tasty. I ordered two.

aroma of honey..cloudy brown appearance pillowy off white head some lacing..there are bitter piney and citrusy hops in the flavor, with more honey..tingly and oily palate with a bitter finish..nice try tone down the honey a bit and itll be great but not bad as it is..not really blanced as extreme on both the sweet and bitter scale

Nitro at lucky lab. Pours hazy reddish with a large off white head. The aroma has a lot of citrus notes, light pine, and maybe some honey in the distance. The taste is medium bitter and very malty. Not too sweet but does have a honey caramel taste and is quite thick in palate.. Good.

Draught at TJ’s: Aroma of hops, pine, caramel malt, slight tropical fruit, slight grapefruit, and a hint of honey. Poured amber/orange in color with a small, off-white head that lasted throughout. Clear. Not sparkling. Very good to excellent lacing. Flavor is lightly bitter and lightly sweet. Tastes of hops, pine, and caramel malt. Medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Hop and caramel malt finish is dry. Good, but basically an average IPA.
