Bitto Honey IPA was born as a gift to be enjoyed at a going away party for two friends, Don and Maddie Bitto - two new doctors from Philadelphia who were headed to Denver for their first jobs as practicing physicians. Bitto Honey is a twist on the ever popular India Pale Ale and has been brewed with fresh honey and a heavy dose of honey malt to provide great balance to the Amarillo and Cascade hops. We believe that Hops + Honey = Heaven. Don and Maddie agreed and we hope you will too.

Pours a clear copper-red with a foamy tan head. Smells of honey, citrus, spruce. Taste is sweet, moderately bitter - honey, floral notes, spruce.

From bottle, deep ruby amber color with almost no head. Aroma is almost all honey. Taste is very sweet with light bittering. Long finish with alternating sweet/bitter - interesting. Full bodied with oily texture. Almost no carbonation, but I donít think it needs it. Not what Iíd usually go for, but Iím impressed.

UPDATED: APR 5, 2015 Pretty good ipa. The slight honey sweet slowly peeks out. You can smell it as well. Hops are light. Not overly dimensional. Tap

Seemed like your pretty standart IPA, not much of an aroma, a little hops. Taste was slightly bitter hoppy, maybe with a hint of honey.

Kind of bland for me. Not a lot of aroma. What I got was a bit of citrus and some sweet malt. The flavor had a little too much sweetness for my liking.

On tap. I thought it poured an amber color with a think tan head that reduces to a light tan head. The first smell I get is honey and a little hops but soft. The taste is sweet with honey and maybe itís caramel I taste the IPA hits you at the finish.. Itís ok but I think the honey is a little much.

NEWTOWN BREWFEST 2010. Nice amber pour with nose of candy, honey and pine. Carmel malts with a splash of floral and honey. Not Bad.

Draft at Redstone. Pours a dark copper color with minimal head and creamy lacing. Heavy aromas of caramel malt, honey, pine. Taste is sweet honey with a bitter hop finish. Leaves the mouth slightly dry. Not something I will search out but more then happy to give it a whirl at a chain restaurant.

NITRO Draft at Khyber Pass. Copper red pour with a huge pillowy head which left rings of lace. Mild malt. Even milder hops. Clover honey. Caramel floral. Dark honey brown ale. Despite the nitro, the body seems watery. Looks nice but was a disappointment.

Aroma floral, spruce, citrus, Appearance brown, red, hazy, cloudy, frothy, tan foam, white foam, Taste light sweetness, lightly bitter, Palate light body, lively, Overall not a great I.P.A. but I would suggest this beer to a friend that is easing into I.P.A.s because it is not overly hoppy
